  We are a couple looking for help around our woodland and developing nature trails on 16 hectares in the beautiful SW Alentejo near Sao Luis, Portugal. We have refurbished our traditional Alentejo home and are now ready to work on making the land into a sustainable farm project. Located 4km from the nearest village with cafes, fresh food market, bank, post office and vibrant cultural activities and 12km from the beach. We are located in a beautiful and peaceful place.

  We have lived and travelled in many places and are now settled in Portugal enjoying the culture and language. We can share our experiences and learn from you. The local village has a vibrant community with many nationalities living nearby offering cultural events and regular markets. We are Portuguese speakers and continue to have lessons to improve which we will share with you. If you like music we have a guitar and ukulele.

  Ajuda

  We would like help in our woodland, liberate our cork oaks, pine, olive and medronha trees enabling us to pick the fruits from these trees. We have a stream running through the property which wish to clear and are also planning nature trails on the land. It is physically demanding but very rewarding! We would also like help repainting the outside of the houses.

  Acomodação

  You will have your own fully equipped house with two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. You have the opportunity to cook for yourselves and we will also offer shared meals throughout your stay.

  We are located in the countryside so having your own transport would be advantageous. There are many places to explore along the coast just a short drive away. We do have two bicycles available to give you access to the nearby village. We would like your help during weekdays giving you weekends free to spend time at the beach kiteboarding, surfing or walking.
