I spent my first workaway with Bente and Ninna🤩. That was the best decision and experience ever. Bente and Ninna are very welcoming, open, have a lot of experience and I very quickly took them and their three cats to my heart. I always felt safe here and was able to learn a lot in the three weeks. Bente and Ninna taught me so much,
… read more showed me beautiful places and shared their life and culture with me over the three weeks. I learnt how to restore windows. It was a completely new experience for me that I wouldn't want to have missed. Bente also invited me to her sculpture workshop. That was a great experience for me. It was interesting to work with the different materials, get to know her friends, and to be able to immerse myself in the world of art. I particularly enjoyed the great conversations with Bente and the wonderful food from Ninna. All in all, I had three really great weeks and am incredibly grateful that I was able to be with you, get to know you, your life, your culture and the three kittens. I will never forget this time and I remember it very fondly. Thank you for sharing all this and much more with me and for taking me in.🥰

We really appreciate what you did for us (and the cats), for the garden, for the
… read more snails! You collected buckets and brought them to a new life in the forest. You developed a steady hand for all the black painting you did around the property. We still miss how good a porridge you made for us morning after morning 😊 And Bente misses being on top of Skip Bo.
The list is long full of lovely moments and memories with you in them. One is the two hour Folke dance with only experienced dancers at the folk music festival on Ærø 🤩
We enjoyed watching how you in a few weeks spread your wings more and grew trust and confidence.… THANKS for sharing, trusting, for being curious, for being you and for saying YES.

From day one (while Ninna was on AEro) I felt like I could be completely myself around Bente. Not only was my stay in Vester Skerninge to
… read more learn more about danish culture, gardening and painting and so on, but I feel like I have learned a lot about myself and about 'life'. I feel like my spiritual journey/or journey to what I want in life started right here, with the ladies in Vester Skerninge. Bente is great at asking questions that really make you think, confront you, and realize certain things about yourself, certain patterns you are stuck in and could work on for example. I guess that can sound quite vague, and you will have to experience it for yourself;)
I loved the effort and time Bente and Ninna put in creating nice moments and all the time we spend together. Although I travelled alone to Vester Skerninge, I have not felt lonely at any time during my 6 weeks there. Even when I was home alone for a bit, the cats kept me company. They are adorable:) with each their own character.
Bente and Ninna's house is very tight and clean, which is a great place to stay, no clutter around which made me after a couple days feel more relaxed, with the beach super close it's an amazing place:) I loved all the food and drinks we had, and hope to continue eating more healthy and buy more organic products myself when i'm back home, cause I could feel the effect that had on me being super positive:)

I stayed at Ninna and Bente’s place for 2 weeks and it was my first workaway experience. I can’t recommend it enough - the atmosphere in the house is lovely and warm, I felt very relaxed and welcomed from the first day. We had many amazing and enriching conversations, ate delicious, organic food and swam in the beautiful sea that’s just 4 km away
… read more from the house. I’ve learned a lot about danish culture, sustainable living and was inspired to use my hands and do more things manually and myself. That time planted many seeds in my soul and I am curious to see how and where they grow. A stay with Ninna and Bente is a true testament to what a WorkAway should be - INCREDIBLE! The feelings of warmth, acceptance, and friendship are present from the start, and the interest and care that they both put into you is amazing. We spent our three-week stay painting Bente's workshop in Svendborg, as well as painting their house in Vester
… read more Skerninge and creating new edges for the plant beds in the garden. Both Ninna and Bente were supportive in these projects, both helping us to complete them and making sure we were comfortable doing them on our own when they could not be there. Outside of these tasks, they openly shared their lives with us and really made us feel part of the picture. We joined them for morning dips in the sea, travelling around Denmark to see their favorite places (hiking in the forest, northern Fyn, and the beautiful Skovsgaard Gods to name a few), and at mealtimes where we would enjoy Ninna's incredible homemade food. Ninna even made us traditional Danish dishes, and Bente made sure we tried the best croissants and icecream in the world (it's true, they were). The amount of care these two have is second to none, and we will definitely take their views on enjoying life and living in the moment with us forever.

I spent less than a week in Ninna and Bente’s house but it was a big adventure full of learning and wonder. In the few days we managed to spend together, Ninna and Bente showed me another world, another way of living full of creativity, energy and fun. They were not very demanding on the workload but I managed to feel connected to their house and garden by doing some little tasks for the time they were away. Three cats of different personalities kept me company while I stayed at home but it was difficult to be indoors: the fascinating nature around the village was calling. On the bicycle they kindly shared with me, I explored the seaside and the surroundings, I had the chance to travel to the nearby islands on my own and in the lovely company of Ninna and Bente.
I couldn’t wish more from my first workaway and I was incredibly lucky to spend it in the house of Ninna and Bente!

I spent 3 weeks in B&N' house and it was my first time like workawayer; from the first day in B&N' house I felt home. They are so kind, sweet, open-mind, creative women... and trust me, they are so punk ;) !

I spent 3 wonderful weeks at Bente and Ninna's place. They both are easy going, open minded and truly benevolent ; We shared lots of talks, played cards, cooked, they took me to concerts and music jams, and even found me a way to kayak in the fund. We laughed so hard and I miss them already.. :)
The work was a few hours a day, nothing really
