I stayed with Tom & Steph for one month, for almost half of it cat sitting the cool Mikey. Except having to give pills to Mikey everyday, he is a very sweet, low-maintenance cat who gave me a lot of opportunities to enjoy this paradise near Ponte da Barca. I stayed in a renovated garage that has become Tom's office and occasional guesthouse. It
… read more was super cozy and comfortable, I felt so spoilt even having my own toilet and shower! Together we did many activities, went out drinking, hiking, learning about plants and oils, making kombucha/sauerkraut/beer... Many times we have made food and ate together at home, but I had the freedom to use the kitchen whenever I wanted. I had an orange almost everyday from their orange tree. I am happy that I met the charming couple and hope to keep seeing them around :)

I was very happy to do catsitting at Tom and Steph's for about 10 days in December 2023. The "work" was easy, my charge being the sweetest and most admirable cat ever, and we got along really well. He let me stroke his fur and give him the pills he needed, and though at times he did try to spit them out, he never bit me. 😻 It was a very, very

I volunteered with a friend at this Workaway. We had an amazing time with Tom and Steph in their cosy home, they were so kind and hospitable. The work we had was simple and it was a really good exchange. They allowed us to explore the local area, we shared cooking and had our own accommodation in a newly-refurbished annex. It was a beautiful area
