  Are you ready for a fun adventure in one of the most social hostels in Sri Lanka? We’re looking for a couple of extra hands to help us throughout the year as social hosts!
  
  If you want to stay in Sri Lanka, enjoy the surf and the sunshine and meet new people, come volunteer at our hostel! We have a hardworking team to make sure all of our guest are having the best experience. And with you their experience can only be better. Enjoy time at our hostel en make friends for life, whilst staying in de lush jungle, spend time at the beach, surf and have the best food!
  
  We are a fun and small hostel and have 8 local staff members, 2 of them run the reception, 2 the kitchen, 2 housekeeping and 2 of them our beautiful garden.

  Our hostel is located in small town on the South Coast of Sri Lanka. We have many local staff members that would love to teach you some Sinhala and tell you everything about the local culture. You'll also get the full local food experience (get exited about the amazing rice&curries), because the family dinners we host are home cooked meals by the local people. We’re also set on creating an international social vibe, so meeting new people and sharing travel stories is guaranteed!

  We are looking for Social Hosts for our team:
  
  ⚠️ Important: This position is open to solo travellers only. We are unable to host couples, friends, or family members. Please do not apply if you are travelling with others.
  
  What does a Social Host do?
  
  As a Social Host, you're the face and glue of the hostel. We're looking for people who are friendly, open-minded, and naturally enjoy bringing others together.
  
  Your role is to help create a welcoming and social atmosphere by:
  - Communicating the daily activities to guests
  - Encouraging people to join and sign up
  - Coordinating participant numbers with venues
  - Leading guests through the activities
  - Making sure everyone feels included and has a great time
  
  What does a typical day look like?
  Your schedule rotates between morning and evening shifts, so no two days are quite the same 🌴✨! Throughout the week you'll be hosting a variety of activities, such as:
  
  Yoga sessions, Sunset experiences, Game nights, Sip & Paint, Movie nights, Family Dinner of dinner at restaurants and bars around town, Ice bath sessions and parties twice a week.
  
  Outside of your shift, your time is completely your own, explore, relax, surf, or whatever makes you happy. 🌊 The best part? You get free dinner at most venues, and at some venues free drinks too! 🎉

  If you volunteer here you will stay at the hostel, in a separate room together with the other volunteers!
  
  We offer you free accommodation, free food on your shifts, some free drinks and a discount on our breakfast menu. Aside of that all the hosted activities in all hostels are free to join.

  The south is known for the amazing beaches. If you're a surfer, you can catch some great waves. If you want to learn how to surf, there are enough places where you can take a lesson. Our hostels are well-located, close to the beach, either for a surf or a chill day.
  
  In the area there are also many cool things to visit by scooter or bus, and there is always a town within walking distance, so surely you won't get bored here!
