(OCTOBER 2025 update: at the moment we are looking for a volunteer taking care of our 2-year old boy (25h/week), experience with small children required ).
Welcome to our farm in the beautiful Bizeljsko region, near the Croatian border! We are a young couple (Anja and Dominik & our baby Oskar joined us 2 years ago) who purchased this abandoned farm three years ago, and we've been working hard to transform it into a self-sustainable paradise. Our farm spans 1.3 hectares and already features a 200m2 greenhouse and a 200 m2 garden. Among the five buildings on the property are a new house, an old house, a stable, a shed, and a garage with an apartment.
Our main focus is on organic farming, where we grow a variety of vegetables, fruits, and herbs. However, with our child, we could really use some extra hands to help us with gardening tasks such as planting, composting, digging holes, grass cutting, removing weeds, fruit drying, and picking plants. Additionally, assistance with babysitting, housecleaning, kitchen duties and hands-on projects would be greatly appreciated.
Although we don't have any animals on the farm, we are delighted to often see deers running on our meadow, listening to owl, donkey and frogs, watching bee-eaters... We do not have a business and the farm produce is for personal consumption only. Our ultimate vision for this place is to create a harmonious and self-sustainable farm where we would someday host various events such as spiritual and gardening workshops, construction knowledge sharing, fasting retreats etc.. We also plan to welcome travellers who will have the opportunity to taste our delicious local organic food.
As lovers of our own organic, vegetarian food, we enjoy spending warm evenings by the fire, engaging in conversations, and stargazing. While we currently spend most of our time on the farm, we often visit our other property with vineyard cottage very close the farm, where we would also appreciate assistance with the garden and orchard.
We’re looking for people who are full of energy and ready to contribute to something special. Our community is about more than free accommodation and food; it’s about working together with purpose. Regarding accommodation, you will have your own (or shared) room with a comfortable mattress. However, feel free to enjoy the summer warmth by sleeping in a tent if that suits your preferences.

Our farm is in the small village with just a few neighbours and offers relatively quiet environment (consider usual farm noise), surrounded by hills, and it's only a 20-minute drive from the city of Brežice and 45-min drive from the Croatian captital Zagreb. During your free time, you can explore the beautiful nature by hiking or biking, visit rivers or one of the four nearby spas, or indulge in the delights of the famous local wineries.
