My name’s Nate, and I live on a quiet coastal property overlooking the Whitsundays, about half an hour from Airlie Beach. We're building a small native forest filled with flowers and food trees, creating a sanctuary for local wildlife and a peaceful home environment for my two children.

Visitors often describe this coastal area as peaceful and full of life. Kangaroos and wallabies graze nearby, sea turtles nest along the shore, and during the right season you can watch whales pass offshore. It’s a calm and grounding place to reconnect with nature and learn about everyday Australian life. Your host speaks excellent English and maintains a thoughtful, welcoming home where travellers are treated as part of the household.
When you first get in touch, let me know if you have your own transport and how long you’d ideally like to stay.
We can start with an initial one-month trial to be sure it’s a good match. If everything goes smoothly and you’re engaged and contributing well, we can agree together on a longer stay.
Please reconfirm your plans about a week before arriving so everything stays clear. I normally keep communication through the Workaway site until we’ve agreed in principle, after which we can move to WhatsApp for details.

You’ll have the master bedroom with a private ensuite and a view of the ocean. The room has a comfortable king bed, plenty of natural light, and space to relax after the day’s work.

We’re about 30 minutes from Airlie, where you’ll find shops, beaches, and boat trips to the islands. There’s no public transport here, so having your own car is useful, though we head into town regularly and can often give a lift. The area is surrounded by walking tracks, forest trails, and around 20 kilometres of beaches to explore. It’s a peaceful, nature-filled place for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, quiet living, and a friendly family atmosphere.
