We are a family of 4. Myself, Anne, I am an artist and I run a Gallery in Clifden town. My husband Pat, who works in Plant Hire, and can turn his hand to pretty much anything when called for. And our two sons Jaime and Josh, 23 and 21, Jamie is in Canada for the academic year and Josh works with me in the Gallery. We also have 7 dogs, (6 small and one big boy) so any one wanting to spend time with us needs to LOVE animals! And needs to be ok with mild to mid level chaos :-)
The good news: we live in a most beautiful part of the world. Clifden is on the west coast of Ireland, nestled among the 12 Bens mountain range. The scenery is breathtaking, and there are any number of glorious beaches around us. Activities in the area include: horse riding, fishing, boating (we have a Rib that we use to go to the islands in the summer) hill walking, swimming, sailing, and more. Clifden town is a destination holiday town in summer, buzzing with music, shopping, pubs, and restaurants. But be warned In Winter it is very quiet !
We live 5 minutes walk from town.

Ireland is a welcoming friendly place with a wealth of history and culture, and the Irish sense of humour is second to none. We are small enough that between buses and bicycles nothing is very far away.

I am looking for someone who wants to stay a longer term, (3-6 months minimum) who loves dogs. In addition to keeping the dogs company while I am at work I'll be looking for you to cook the occasional healthy meal, do some cleaning and some outdoor work. A drivers licence would be very beneficial, better yet a car

You would have your own room with ensuite in a house that is attached to our own. The living rooms in that house are currently being used for storage while we build a new gallery.

We are a non smoking household, with animals If you like animals, the outdoor life, and are a fairly relaxed individual you should fit right in.

They are obliging, they do over and above what is required and they will tackle anything.
They have been a huge addition to the house
I am very sorry to see them go
There was nothing he wouldn't attempt.
A pleasant and intelligent chap - he loved connemara and he explored as much as possible in his free time.
He was really great with the dogs. Helped around the house. he is diligent and conscientious.

She anticipated our every need before we knew we had them. She is pleasant, friendly, Intelligent,
just generally a lovely person to have around. She was amazing with the animals, and caring and efficient in her care of us.
