  My wife and I live on three acres in Grand Island (Central Florida)
  We like to travel and couch surf.
  We have a large yard (about 3 acres) which includes a house and guest house. We always need maintenance and cleaning done on the property. Other projects including light painting and some yard tasks helping clear underbrush, cutting limbs and removing sprouting trees.
  Volunteers will not be helping with the management of our guest house.

  We enjoy interacting with people. My wife works full time but I am retired and am at home most of the time. I enjoy showing people around the area when I am able to do so. We are able to provide suggestions for great things to see in Florida and can guide people to areas of interest. We are 50 minutes north of Orlando and all the theme parks that it has to offer. I wouldn't say we are typical Americans, but our guests always seem to be interested in our lifestyle and philosophies. Our property is very peaceful and most guests feel staying here is a bit of a peaceful retreat.

  Our current area of help needed is in clearing out some underbrush, vines, and small trees that are volunteering on our property. Other tasks such as light painting can also be possible. We occasionally need some housesitting help.

  Acomodação

  We have a guest house that is available at times when not rented out. There is also a second bedroom in the house with us. In the past we have had guests that stay in the guest house when it isn't rented and then move into the second bedroom in the house when the guest house is rented. We also have room for a camper van to be parked on the property.

  People who stay with us will need a car to get anywhere. We are centrally located in Florida and about an hour away from beaches and theme parks. The local area has many lakes and nice small towns. There are many hiking opportunities nearby.
