Hi, my name is Emma and I need help at my old smallholding in Creuse, central France. It is very rural, a beautiful place for peace and quiet. I have an old farmhouse, barns and some land that I need help with. Initially I just need physically able bodies to help me clear, sort and organise everything that has been left there. The barns are full of 'stuff', it was a working farm, so there are many fascinating old farming implements. Some will go into recycling projects and be repurposed for outdoor features and I would like help with this, I'm not very artistic, so there are plenty of creative projects for people to get stuck into. Some of the things I cannot physically move on my own, so need someone else. I often have my elderly father with me, so help with cooking and looking after him is also appreciated, but not expected. Very close to a train station

I am British, so if you want to practice English, then you will get plenty of that. I don't speak very good French, so if you do, then I would appreciate the help at times, but not necessary.

The project the starting from scratch sorting, clearing and storing the contents and that of the barns, recycling and repurposing lots of old stuff , so as long as you can lift and carry; preferably someone stronger than me, you can help. I'm also open to creative ideas of how things can be repurposed. I'm not a great or willing cook, so a couple with cooking skills among you would be great as I will probably be with my father. I can of course make food, but if you enjoy cooking, it would be a bonus.

I am a native English speaker and a qualified TEFL teacher, so happy to help people with their English. The farm being in rural France is a lovely example of how things once were.

You will be sleeping in the main farmhouse which has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and wifi. It is comfortable.

It is a quiet rural area which suits me as I'm quiet. There are many lovely areas for walking. I'm happy to give people a lift into the local town and there is a train station with links to Limogues and Montluçon. There is a wolf sanctuary nearby but I would say the main attraction is the peace and quiet.

I have starlink internet, so its good and stable. Where you can work is flexible, we will find a space.

There is lots of space outside the front of the house. Depending on how wet it is, there is also space around the side.
