I’ve spent two weeks with Federico , Valentina , Leonardo and all of their beautiful animals and it was an amazing experience. They’re a super welcoming and kind family and they did an amazing job to make me feel part of the family.
Fede is a super sweet, kind and clever boy… he gets passionate about a lot of things and he persueses all of those

I helped him with some homework during the morning and then we usually went to the beach where we played together and where he has some of his friends and they’re all super nice.
He’s really kind, funny, curios about everything and always down to discover something new.
we went to the aquarium and to visit Genova together and it was so easy to take care of him, he’s super obedient and independent, we also spent a weekend in Montaldo with Valentina and honestly i had such a good time with them… i couldn’t have asked for a better family to work with.

After spending 10 days at Valentina's home I can honestly say that I couldn't have made a better choice. It was my first time travelling alone ever and she made it so easy! Taking care of Federico was a pleasure and no problem at all and Valentina made sure that I always felt welcomed and like a real part of the family. Leonardo was very nice as well and it was no problem that he couldn't speak english very well. And

I learned about italian cuture (especially about italian food, because like other Workawayers before me have said: Valentina really does cook very well! :D) and was able to travel to Genova and Torino on free days. Valentina also took me to the city centre of the district of Genova where they live which is very beautiful.
Unfortunately I had to leave after two weeks due to the situation with the coronavirus (it was my own choice to leave though), and I was very sad that I had to leave. :(

Around two weeks ago I left Genoa and I already miss this people! They all are so kind, I really felt like home in here. Really recommended for people traveling alone, because it’s like living with a family...your family!!!

I stayed with this gorgeous Italian family for 3 months. It’s not your so typical household, there’s many cats and dogs, even a big pig, all of them are lovely! The humans aren’t bad either. … read more cooking skills because those are beyond great, once you try her focaccia al formaggio or salame al cioccolato (among other dishes), you’ll understand what I’m talking about! Then you have Leonardo who’s very hardworking and quiet, I couldn’t communicate a lot due to the idiomatic barrier, though I know he’s a good person who cares about your well being. Last but not least, there’s Federico, we had the chance to get along splendidly well. He’s smart, curious and inquisitive, but also a wonderful kid with a heart of gold. His english level is surprisingly great for someone so young. We had tons of fun and I truly think you’re going to learn one or two things from him and his family.
My tasks were mainly, picking up Fede from school and sometimes taking him to his extracurriculars, going to the piazza, playing with him and spend time together, nothing too hard. Living in Genova gave me the chance to travel to many places (sometimes accompanied by Vale and Fede), eat the most tasty dishes I’ve ever tried, experience traditional festivities, get to know more the culture of the country and learn Italian!
I’ve to say that, they were put in my way just when I needed it and I’ll never be able to thank them enough. I genuinely think they’re worth to get to know.

Staying with Maule's Family was one of the most wonderfull experiences I had in my life. I spent one month there. They were very welcoming and attentive with my needs. They live in a beautiful house close to a river in the countryside area of Genoa. I stayed in a separated house close to them so I could keep everything in my way. It's an excellent opportunity for those who want to relax and experience country life in Italy. Valentina prepares delicious food and loves to share her kitchen.
I simply don't recommend for those who have problems living with animals. The family has 8 dogs, 6 cats and a pig. For me it was definitely no problem. :)

Definitely, I would like to spend some time with them again.
I hope they come to Spain, because I really would open the doors of my house to them as they did to me, and hope also that they finally taste a Spanish tortilla :P
