Vero is an amazing person! Calm, respectful, hardworking, and with a smile on her face. She was supposed to stay for three weeks, but we got on so well that we made it four of them😉 She took care so well of my animals and land that I dared to leave her alone with everything and take a short vacation.
She knows already about many things that came

Apart from being smart, she's also a good soul with a refreshing spirit. I just felt comfy around her and communicating was so easy. I've learnt lots from her too!
I might go on with my praise, or just tell you that I offered her to stay permanently🙂 I can't imagine a better land mate.
Thanks for everything, Vero! Hugs and kisses from all two- and four-legged ones! 😘 (especially from Dumbo, jiji)

Being at Cath’s was such a beautiful experience for me, since the first day until the last one, every little part of it.
Cath has really made herself this little part of world a home full of love. The tiny house and the tent where I stayed were both super cozy, I felt welcomed and secure and taken care of at all times. I saw and learned loads of
… read more new stuff that I haven’t had the chance to see before in my life, things concerning animals, cool technicalities in the tiny house like a self-made hot bath tub, making water kefir, reusing everything to bits, but most importantly, we had an amazing time together, laughing and giving each other an opportunity to grow. Cath is very respectful, smart and loving. Oh, and also an excellent cook!
I stayed for a month, I helped taking care of the 3 dogs, sheep, chickens and rabbits (the cat is quite independent haha), in the first days I spend a lot of time in the vegetable garden, which was super rewarding for me (we grew a 5kg zucchini!). We also did quite a bit of cementing, walls made of stones and glass bottles etc., general maintenance of the land, even a bit of sewing :).
I had the opportunities to go and see A Coruña and Santiago and even though Cath wouldn’t accompany me, she made sure I had all the information needed.
I just left and I already miss greatly all the inhabitants of the finca. Much love to everyone and see you soon! xxxSó é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Mick is a physically fit young man who has just started a new journey in life, and as a workawayer. He is keen on learning how to do different things and crafts. He has stayed with me for four weeks and helped me a lot with different tasks, especially the ones that require muscle strength. We have put up posts and fence, worked with concrete to

Since he is such a physically strong person he made wood chopping look easy😉 and he was happy to carry a lot of heavy things from one place to another - a work I couldn't have done without him. Basically, he saw working on the land as a workout and loved to wear himself out, without having lost his energy the next day (amazingly🙂 ).
You can also have some profound talks about life, and it's difficulties, with Mick. And keep in mind that he is a professional photographer. So, if you want some excellent imagery of your project, just let him know.
Thank you, Mick, for all your help on so many levels! Big hug, all the best for your journey, lots of peace, and a kiss for Mila

I can only be greatful for this experience. I stayed 1 month with Catharina, and i learned a lot of new skills about how to work in the land. Some of my tasks during the stay where: Taking care of the animals and the stabels, making fances, chopping wood, work the ground, plant vegetables, make cemento for new walls, and move a lot of heavy stuff

Cath is really an warm person. She was really nice and sweet with me and my dog Mila. The food was really good (all fresh and healty ingrediends).
For the rest, I can say that stayng togheter, we helped eachother to grow psychologically, and i had the possibility to learn a lot about myself.
I reccomend this experience to everyone who wants to get in touch with his/her self, and stay in contact with nature and autenthic people.
Thank you for everything Cath. I can say without problems that i have a new good friend now 😊
Take care and give a big to the dogs.

Bonny and Matt stayed with me for 15 days. Everything I can say about them would sound cliché, so just invite them and enjoy their company yourself. They are extremely educated and respectful people who don't mind getting their hands dirty. You can chat with them about Heidegger as much as about chickens. What they don't know, they are eager to

Wish you all the best and hope you'll make it to Europe again over the next years (I'll keep some gluten-free beers in the fridge :-))! Sweet!

We had an amazing time staying with Cath for 2 weeks. Cath was the perfect host. We were struck by her intelligence and found her to be wonderful company. It was no trouble to agree on mutual expectations; she is a really clear communicator and sensitive to others’ needs. She’s also very knowledgeable and happy to share what she knows. We would

The work was enjoyable and varied, and included gardening, weeding, helping to build a house extension, cooking meals, cutting firewood and helping with her animals (chickens, rabbits, sheep and dogs). We had space and time to ourselves every day.
The accommodation was a glamping tent and was comfortable for the two of us. The area where Cath lives is absolutely spectacular, there are lovely walks through the forest and there is a beautiful lake nearby where you can swim. The only negative was that we couldn’t stay for longer! We would recommend this workaway to anyone considering - it was a thoroughly fulfilling and enriching experience. Thank you Cath.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Best experience ever! Why, because this place is incredible, beautiful and quiet, with the best, caring and amazing host ever and lots of lovely animals. The tent was very cosy and comfi, the outdoor bathroom covered in another tent an experience of awareness (water use, etc...) and the privacy all in all perfect! The job started daily in the
… read more morning around 9/10am, going with the rhythm of nature and need of the animals. The work by itself was different, sometimes gardening, sometimes work on wood, our agreement was my daily vegetarian cooking routine, Cath showed me sheepherding and taking care of her animals (3 sheep, 6 chicken, 11 rabbits, 2 dogs, 1 cat) - which means that I cared for them also occasionally in the afternoon or evening, because they needed their food + water and for the night a closed gate for protection too- clearing some parts of the land, cleaning, cutting stuff away, moving things around etc... every day was different, sometimes a bit harder, sweaty too, sometimes not but every day with fantastic music, in good company and with deep conversations. There is so much work to do, every help is welcome but there is also time to enjoy this place and sleep under a tree or sit and breathe nature in. Cath is an amazing person to meet, honest about herself, her life, able to reflect, supportive, caring, she wants to make your time with her as comfortable as possible- and she did with me! She has lots of wisdom to share and her soul is connected with nature and a happy healty lifestyle for herself and her animals.
The train station is in walking distance (around 30min) to get you to A Coruna or Santiago... which I did 2 times on my days off. In her town is no shop, either you walk, bike o bring your own car to go somewhere. The whole area is beautiful, quiet nature, an August in Galicia full of weather surprises (from rain to sunshine to heat wave back to rain, temperature dropping up and down- be prepaired with clothes!) and 40min by car to stunning beaches on the atlantic ocean.
Cath, Thank you so so much for everything, I learned more then I could imagine, physically, mentally, spiritually, naturewise, you made my time with you and "our" animals unforgetable. I highly recommend this place and her :)Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Pia stayed with me for four weeks. Actually, she has been my first contact with a 'workawayer', and I am so grateful. She has been easy-going and hard-working. Pia helped me with my animals (they miss her) and many other tasks on the land, such as preparing firewood, building a platform among trees, or cleaning annoying fern and blackberry plants.
