We are not sure what we liked best: Emily's amazing food, or the refreshing, private swimming hole right on the property. We also had fun with little Riley and enjoyed her boundless creativity.

I stayed with Emily for 5 days - which was too short! Despite the mozzies driving us insane that week, the farm is such a unique and beautiful place. Emily would always cook us the most delicious meals. I will always remember the last day where I watched Emily and her neighbour collect the honey from her hives, I was able to learn a lot about bees

The caravan is very comfy and I loved the outdoor living vibe. There is a creek surrounding the property which is amazing for swimming. Emily is an amazing cook, but also provides food for you to cook for yourself if you prefer.
The place is remote but Emily gets out enough for you to tag along to different places. Emily, her family and friends were nice enough to take me on some lovely hikes to see the magnificent nature in the area.
Best of all, Emily is a lovely lady - she is a total boss in terms of farming and life generally it seems and I found her very inspiring, extremely gentle and understanding.Comentário

Wow where to begin?
Thank you so much Emily for being such an amazing person. The farm is peacefully set within nature, and everything from the daily routine creek swim, Emily's delicious cooking and spoken wisdom, and little Riley's vibrant personality, made this a deeply healing environment.
I stayed for about a month in this unique valley. The
… read more work at the farm was enjoyable and rewarding, from our big harvest and process of taro and galangal, a bit of bush regeneration by the creek, potato, basil and garlic harvesting, prepping the soil with compost for seed planting, to harvesting honey from the hives. Emily always made sure we were comfortable with the tasks we were given.
It was especially cool to visit the local organic shop and see our freshly dug up potatos being sold to the community.
I enjoyed weekly yoga classes at the community center as well!
The wildlife is abundant, I saw glow worms out at night, learned about the numerous birds and flora, saw friendly pythons, sneaky goannas and a magestic eel, hung out with newborn chics, and was witness to the birth of a baby goat.
Trips to town were frequent, and Emily was kind enough to bring me to a friend's lunch party, a preschool play, the community Christmas party, and on a hike during my stay. I got to meet many neighbours and share interesting conversations.
I am grateful to this experience.

The farm is in a beautiful valley, isolated from town by a 30min drive and great for walks (and swims!). It's a good chance to connect to where you are. Emily also took us out to the town, invited us to a friend's party and on a hike- she clearly wants her friends/helpers to have a good time and experience the area. A great first workaway experience,

We spent only a week at Emily's place but really grew to appreciate it a lot. She is very easygoing and nice to be around, and working hours were also very flexible depending on what we wanted to do throughout the day. Although we were a bit unlucky with the weather initially, we really enjoyed our time with Emily and hope to be back one day 😊

Emily is awesome, and yes, she paid me to say that by giving me incredible wholesome meals and fresh fruit everyday and supplying me with fun jobs to do. The passion Emily has for plants and life was pretty inspiring and you couldnt help but absorb her excitement for it. I really enjoyed working alongside Emily as her quirkster personality kept me entertained all day. She was also great company in the evenings as the conversation always flowed very easily.
Em was generous enough to take me and another volunteer with her to a few social events which allowed us to endulge in the local community culture and get to know some people. She also introduced me to some great people that told me all about permaculture of which i have a keen interest in.
The local town is one of the best towns i've been to so far in Australia. It was pretty alternative which means there's plenty of hipster health food shops and coffee shops.
The forest that surrounded Emily's secluded house is also incredible. You really are in the middle of nowhere which gives you plenty of space and time to think, read, nap or whatever you fancy.
We'd pretty much only work in the morning till lunch then you have the rest of the day to chill. The river opposite Emily's place is definitely worth a mention. It was crystal clear so i went swimming in there most days. It was a place that allows you to put everything into perspective so thank you very much again for the opportunity Emily.
