  I am a mineralogist and ended up in the Harz Mountains during my studies - I have now lived here for almost 30 years. The Harz and the region around Clausthal-Zellerfeld, where I live, are very diverse - for nature lovers, for hiking or also for history (especially mining). I became increasingly fascinated by this and worked as an editor for a local history newspaper for several years. I would like to give other people the opportunity to get to know this exciting environment. I live with my son Viktor (17), several poison dart frogs and three cats in a large house with three floors and a large garden. There is also an allotment garden for growing vegetables. My son is currently graduating from high school and is pretty busy with school. Since he no longer puts as much strain on me as a mother, I would like to "spruce up" the house and both gardens. Depending on your craftsmanship, we can plan projects together - renovate the house, replace the parquet, help in the vegetable garden or on the tool shed (renew the roof, paint). If you don't have the confidence to renovate, but enjoy household chores or cooking, support is also welcome. I am a shaman, know many wild herbs, am non-dogmatically ecological (not everything that would make sense can be implemented in my everyday life) and have a wide range of interests. I recently started playing the djembe and am practicing non-violent communication.
  
  
  Ich bin Mineralogin und während des Studiums im Harz gelandet - mittlerweile lebe ich hier schon fast 30 Jahre. Der Harz und die Region um Clausthal-Zellerfeld, wo ich wohne, sind sehr vielseitig - für Naturliebhaber, zum Wandern oder auch geschichtlich (insbesondere Bergbau). Mich hat das zunehmend fasziniert und ich habe mehrere Jahre für eine heimatkundliche Zeitung als Schriftleiterin gearbeitet. Gern gebe ich anderen Menschen die Möglichkeit, diese spannende Umgebung kennenzulernen.
  
  Ich lebe zusammen mit meinem Sohn Viktor (17), etlichen Pfeilgiftfröschen und drei Katzen in einem großen Haus mit drei Etagen und einem großen Garten. Dazu kommt ein Schrebergarten für den Gemüse-Anbau.
  Mein Sohn macht gerade Abitur und ist ziemlich mit der Schule beschäftigt. Da er mich als Mutter nicht mehr so sehr beansprucht, möchte ich Haus und beide Gärten "auf Vordermann bringen". Je nach handwerklichem Geschick können wir zusammen Projekte planen - im Haus renovieren, das Parkett erneuern, Hilfe im Gemüsegarten oder an den Geräteschuppen (Dach erneuern, streichen). Wer sich das Renovieren nicht so zutraut, aber Freude am Haushalt oder Kochen hat - auch dabei ist Unterstützung gern gesehen.
  
  Ich bin Schamanin, kenne viele Wildkräuter, bin undogmatisch ökologisch (es lässt sich in meinem Alltag nicht alles umsetzen, was sinnvoll wäre) und vielseitig interessiert. Relativ neu habe ich das Djembe-Spielen angefangen und übe mich in gewaltfreier Kommunikation.

  I enjoy conversations and sharing ideas. I have a lot of literature for the surrounding area (albeit in German). The Harz is culturally and historically very exciting and of course also offers a lot of nature.

  Für die nähere und weitere Umgebung habe ich einiges an Literatur (allerdings auf deutsch). Der Harz ist kulturell und historsch sehr spannend und bietet natürlich auch einiges an Natur.

  I currently have a lot of “construction sites” and ideas. I can adapt the projects relatively flexibly, depending on where you can and want to get involved. The current focus is on renovating my son's room. Then in the spring the garden.
  
  Ich habe momentan viele "Baustellen" und Ideen. Ich kann die Projekte relativ flexibel anpassen, je nachdem wo Du Dich einbringen kannst und möchtest. Aktuell steht das Renovieren des Zimmers meines Sohnes im Vordergrund. Im Frühjahr dann der Garten.

  A separate guest room with a futon is available. I can provide bed linen and towels. I also have different mattresses, so you should be able to find the right one. The house has three floors, with a bathroom on each floor. I have a meditation room that can be used by arrangement. The kitchen is available for use by arrangement. We eat vegetarian (to vegan) and gluten-free because my son has celiac disease. But of course we can arrange meals together!
  
  Ein separates Gästezimmer mit Futon steht zur Verfügung. Bettwäsche und Handtücher kann ich gern zur Verfügung stellen. Ich habe auch noch verschiedenen Matratzen, da sollte sich das passende finden lassen.
  Das Haus hat drei Etagen, auf jeder Etage ist ein Badezimmer.
  Ich habe einen Meditationsraum, der nach Absprache genutzt werden kann.
  Die Küche steht nach Absprache zur Vergügung. Wir essen vegetarisch (bis vegan) und glutenfrei, da mein Sohn Zöliakie hat. Aber natürlich können wir die Mahlzeiten gemeinsam absprechen!

  The Harz offers great opportunities for people who love nature, are interested in geology, biology or mining and/or like hiking. The Harz also has a lot to offer historically - the surrounding places are culturally and architecturally (half-timbered buildings) interesting. Our everyday life is currently structured by school, but the timetable is very variable. I don't eat between 8 p.m. and around 9 a.m. because I do interval fasting. Typically we eat three meals a day. So far I have experience with people who do Couchsurfing. Work and Travel is still quite new for me. It's good to agree together what times we will spend together and when we need time for ourselves. Clear communication about our wishes is therefore important and very welcome. We don't smoke - if you would like to smoke, please smoke outside or possibly in the boiler room.
  
  Der Harz bietet Menschen, die die Natur lieben, geologisch, biologisch oder bergbaulich interessiert sind und/oder gern wandern tolle Möglichkeiten dafür. Auch historisch hat der Harz viel zu bieten - die umliegenden Orte sind kulturell und architektonisch (Fachwerkbauten) interessant.
  
  Unser Alltag ist momentan von der Schule strukturiert, allerdings ist der Stundenplan sehr variabel. Ich selber esse zwischen 20 Uhr abends und etwa 9 Uhr morgens nicht, da ich Intervall-Fasten mache. Typischerweise essen wir drei Mahlzeiten am Tag.
  
  Bisher habe ich Erfahrungen mit Menschen, die Couchsurfing betreiben. Work and Travel ist noch recht neu für mich. Es ist gut, gemeinsam abzusprechen, welche Zeiten wir gemeinsam verbringen und wann wir Zeit für uns selbst brauchen. Klare Kommunikation über unsere Wünsche ist deshalb wichtig und sehr willkommen.
  
  Wir rauchen nicht - falls Du rauchen möchtest bitte draußen oder eventuell im Heizungskeller.
