  After travelling and living at Eco Projects and Regenerative Farms for a few years, I have settled down here in North Euboea. I have the good fortune of having inherited my grandfathers land. Most of the projects I have been involved in revolve around Regenerative Farming, Permaculture, Holistic Management and Natural Building. I strive to implement these techniques to my land.
  My true passion lies with Natural Building and that's mainly what I have been doing with my extra time. I have set up a small farm, primarily based on Olive Production. I believe the project will flourish into a functional, profitable farm but for that I need help. The farm still has a way to go and by hosting travellers and enthusiasts looking to learn about Regenerative Agricultural and Natural Building, it really demonstrates a clear transparent example of how to function in a healthy, profitable, self-sustaining habitat.

  You will learn about the local culture and cuisine.
  You will learn about olives in general. The local varieties, their care and uses. The production process.
  You will learn the basics of Natural Building.

  Ajuda

  1. Natural Building
  Dry Compost Toilet - I have almost finished this structure using Earthbags (Super Adobe), Cane and Cob, finished with Lime Plaster. This project only needs some finishing touches.
  
  Outdoor Showers - Simple roofless structure using Stone, Cane and Cob with Lime Plaster.
  
  Little Stone House - There is already a stone structure on the field that requires renovation. The tiled roof with its wooden beams has been removed and reconstructed. The walls need to be plastered, doors and windows need to be sorted, as well as creating the interior space i.e floor, furniture, kitchen etc.
  
  2. Olive Trees
  In 2020 I took over my grandfather's fields which contain about 200 olive trees. Depending on the time of the year, there is always some tending to they need. Whether it be :
  Oct-Dec - Harvesting the olives by hand to make olive oil,
  Feb-May - Prunning and Treating,
  In free time making compost, mulching, etc.
  
  3. Outdoor Kitchen/Bar
  This project will use a combination of materials such as Cane, Cob, Stone, Wood and Lime. It is a great opportunity for someone with little or no experience to learn the basics.
  Structures will include at least one pizza oven, a rocket stove, an underground pantry and a few other items.

  Acomodação

  You will be set up in a comfortable private room with a shared bathroom with hot water. This was my grandfather's house in the village and it has all the comforts of a modern abode. The kitchen is fully functional and accessible. All meals are prepared together. Full WiFi coverage.

  The village life is pretty typical. Work in the morning and Tsipuro (the local spirit) from lunchtime onwards. The area is surrounded by nature. Vast forests stretch down to beautiful beaches and peppered with waterfalls and mountainous peaks. Volunteers will have to make their own arrangements if they want to see the area's sites on their time off.
  Please note that the house in town is near a church and can be noisy, especially on the weekends.

  There is an office space with a fully equipped desk (stationary, printer, scanner etc.) in a quiet private room with a strong WiFi connection.

  Plenty of open space and already many campers in the area. Of coarse volunteers with their own accommodation are still welcome to all the amenities offered.

  I do have a cat named Sonic the Dickhead. His sense of character is in his name, so pets are welcome but at their own risk.
