  Located on the foot of Monte Amiata, a former volcano with chestnut and beech forests, nested in the midst of olive groves, vineyards and a bit of wilderness, surrounded by hills with medieval villages on top of them.
  
  Just a few minutes walk-away runs a fresh mountain river, perfect for having a bath and swim on hot summer afternoons.

  Learning about basics of living on and from the land that provides a home is something I try to do everyday. I do not have anything in depth I can really teach you, but sharing stories and my way of moving about this world is something I do enjoy.

  The nearest town (15 minutes by car) is Castel del Piano, a charming place with all kinds of shops, cafes, supermarkets, piazzas, etc.
  It is crucial to have your own car if you would like to discover the area.
  I can offer to do some excursions to the Amiata and surrounding areas but cannot be a tour guide on free days.
  
  Volunteers should be rather fit and love (or at least enjoy) working fisically, mostly outside.
  
  I do not define the exact working hours, because with outdoors work it is difficult to plan precisely ahead. It depends on things like the season and weather conditions when we start and finish but usually I try to not exceed 4 hours daily, 6 days a week. In the olive harvest time this rule can vary.
  I provide breakfast and lunch on workdays. For dinner everyone has to care individually.
  The little guesthouse serves as the volunteer house and is independent but only few steps from the big house, where I reside. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom , a small kitchen and a big living room.
  My dog's name is Nemo ... and most peole find that he is the friendliest dog they have ever met.
