We are little family farm (started in January 2021) in the North West of the island La Palma from the Canary Islands. We are located at 400 meters altitude and having a costal climate with possibilities of having tropical trees like mango, banana, avocado, papaya, etc... The finca has already a few full grown trees and many more in pots waiting to go into the ground. The aim is to become as much as possible self sustainable by implementing permacultural visions into a food forest. We are on 400 meters altitude but walking to the ocean will take you 1 hour :)
We love to make our own bread, to dry fruits, make jams, fermenting vegetables, making kombucha, etc…

We are situated in a very beautiful area on 400 meter hight, 45 minutes walk to the ocean. The island has a very mild climate, almost subtropical which gives lots of opportunities in the garden (ex. we have our own mango, avocado, pineapple, lemons, ... and a vegetable garden all year round. We have not so much production yet... little by little it’s growing.
The owner is a master carpenter and welder, a handy all around and has lots of experience with permaculture gardening and has the patience and talent teaching others. But don't expect to learn a profession here ... for that you would need to stay looooooooong time :)

We would like help in the garden, planting trees, cooking meals, cleaning common areas, picking fruits, weeding, etc...
Lots of digging and moving stones around to create new planting areas.
Making our own good earth from compost…

I talk good dutch, french, spanish and english... I used to talk Croatian when I was a kid, I lost the language since my grandmother died ... I would love to reconnect with the language :)
Acomodação
We have two natural caves with a double bed (possible for one person or a couple). It is very basic!! Really just a natural cave ;) No door, no window, no floor ... just sand and stones :) There is a bed with a mattress, sheets, blankets and cushion. The beauty of sleeping in a cave is the energy, the feeling of sleeping inside of Mother Earth. Also the climate inside the caves, fresh in the summer and warm in the winter.
There is also a van with a double bed. The van has his own little kitchen.
You can have a solar shower with an amazing view and a regular bathroom for colder days.
A sauna and pool is on our Wishlist... but not on the priority list 🙃
We do tasks with Workawayers from Monday to Friday, 3 hours a day in the morning.

The local busstation is close by, on 15 minutes walking distance. To closest shop for buying food is on 2km distance (walking 40 minutes or reachable with the bus).
The island offers a huge variety of micro climates and different vegetations from mountain peak of 2426m to volcanos and beaches. Many people come here to hike. Fishing, diving, boat trips, visiting salt mines, downhill rides, horse riding, ... many possibilities. Oh, and let’s not forget the stars!!!! They are amazing here La Palma ✨💫⭐️✨💫

We have a nice little terrace but it has a steep entrance. The place is a 30 square meters.
