Everything went very well with her.
She helped me a lot with my three boys, when my husband was out of town.
She helped me with the daily household chores, and she's completely understanding and patient with young childrens.
She's a great au pair, attentive and respectful of the family's needs.
We really felt that she wanted to integrate into our family and wanted to learn and do well.

I spent 5 weeks with Marion, Thibault and their 3 (soon it will be 4 😃) sons. From my first day I felt very welcome and at home in this lively and loving family.
My tasks were to do little housekeeping things like preparing breakfast, washing, running the dishwasher, vacuuming and cooking. Sometimes I also picked up the kids from school and
… read more played about 30 minutes with them until Marion came back.
The working hours were mostly flexible and there were never too much to do in one day so I always had time to discover the environment.
The boys have much energy and it never gets boring with them. They like playing with balls, building and playing instruments so it would be better to not be too sensitive to noise :)
Also we sometimes played games like Uno and Skyjo in the evenings and especially there were conversations with Thibault and Marion where I could improve my french. 😊
If I had any kind of problem I could always talk to them and they helped me and if I wanted to do something like spending the weekend in Paris it was also no problem. That’s especially practical because you need only about 50 minutes to come to Paris by train very cheap.
All in all my time in this kind and hospitable family has flown by and I’m really happy I had the chance to meet Marion, Thibault, Eliot, Noé and Anton!

Annie spent 6 weeks with our family
We had the chance to meet a very determined, discreet young girl with a great sense of humor and enormous qualities.
Coming from a large family, she is very mature and independent and knows how to adapt to all situations.

Also, Annie is diligent in the tasks that we asked her to help me maintain the house, thank you again for your valuable help.
We are also very happy that she was able to enjoy Paris and its culture thanks to our place of residence.
What I learned from this experience is that Annie always tries to give the best of herself whatever the situation, if you are lucky enough to meet her you can count on her with your eyes closed!

Marion, Thibault, and the boys are all really delightful people to know!! I was able to spend about six weeks with them! They made me feel very welcome and at home! The boys are very sweet once you get to know them! They love playing and throwing balls, jumping on the trampoline, playing uno, and reading stories! There is also the fighting and
… read more chaos you would expect with three little boys, but if you have experience with children and you like family life, it will be great!
Their home is in a beautiful town! Lots of beautiful roads and paths to walk, right next to the river, and close to the train station and bus stations! It's very easy to go into Paris for the day! There are also many small towns nearby that are wonderful to explore such as Barbizon, Fontainebleau, and Moret Sur Loing. Overall it is a perfect location in a gorgeous area if you are wanting to discover the Paris region! As much of your time helping is in the morning and evening, you have a lot of time during the day to explore and enjoy the scenery and nearby towns.
The adjustment period can be difficult for both you and the boys! I think long we term stays are the best in order to really get comfortable with each other and get into a good rhythm. If it is complicated with the kids, you can also help with cleaning, cooking, laundry, or other household chores, which is something I enjoy. 😊 I think the most important thing is to communicate openly! Thibault and Marion are very understanding and interested in finding a solution to any problem you may have!! They are very open to new ideas or methods.

… read more French while talking to Marion and Thibault. They had interesting topics to talk about and corrected my mistakes kindly. They also speak English very well, so there was never a problem with the communication. Expectations were clear and we communicated openly about everything including misunderstandings without judgement. <3 Also, Eliot chatted with me a lot and he is currently learning English. Taking care of three kids at the same time requires patience and flexibility since there is some action most of the time - you have to know that. 😝 Moreover, I was able to spend 2 weekends by myself visiting other cities and two with the family, e.g. going to an animal park :) Whenever I had a problem they helped me out. They also picked me up from the airport.
My room was big enough and my privacy was always respected. Soon, they will move into a bigger house near Paris - so I guess a coworker could feel even more comfortable.

She is a very disciplined person both in his skin and his studies. She worked a lot speaking a little French she took very good care of our children. And we communicate very well. I can't express how happy I am for choosing to stay with this family for 4 weeks. It was both our first time on workaway so we didn't really have any expectations, but everything went very smooth from the start of my stay.
I got a room for myself, with a giant bed, a desk so I could study and also a closet for my clothes and other affairs. I had
… read more to share the bathroom with the rest of the family but that wasn't a problem at all. You get enough time to shower or do your whole skincare routine without being disrupted ;)
The work itself is very clear, before my stay Marion (the lovely mom) even provided me with a schedule so I knew when I had to work and when I had time to go to the city (or study). However they are very flexible people and I could change the schedule if I for example wanted to meet up with a friend.
I had enough free time to study for my classes and visit the city (which is only 25min with public transport from their apartment and very easy to use). My first week there Marion took me with her to see Lac Aiguebelette and I also visited Annecy!
If you are searching for a host who will take you in like family this is the place for you! Form our first video call before I even went to their place I had a good feeling about them. The communication was clear, the picked me up from the airport, they were always nice, were a great help with recommendation for places to visit/eat in Lyon and helped me improve my French! (Marion is always down for a good chat in French/English, so don't even worry about that)
The kids were great (and cute) as well :) (and I already kinda miss all the noise they bring with them).
