  This role is primarily about caring for my three dogs and eight chicken ladies while keeping an eye on the property. The dogs are my top priority, so I am specifically looking for someone who genuinely loves dogs, enjoys long walks and is happy spending time with animals every day. If you are the type of person who gets excited about taking dogs on morning and evening walks, this could be a perfect fit.
  
  My eight chicken ladies are also an important part of daily life here. They need to be fed every day, their water refreshed, and of course someone has to collect the fresh eggs. The chickens are easy to care for, but they do require daily attention and a little bit of love.
  
  The Villa is a rural property just outside Valencia. Besides my own house, there are three guest casas on the plot which I rent out on a long-term basis. The guests are generally very independent and require little attention. During my absence, you will simply be the first point of contact if a guest has a question or if new guests arrive.
  
  You will not be responsible for cleaning the guest accommodations. I have a cleaner who handles all guest changeovers and cleaning. This role is mainly about being present, caring for the animals, keeping an eye on the property and helping with occasional practical matters if needed.
  
  I am looking for someone who is:
  
  * Crazy about dogs and comfortable caring for multiple dogs
  * Happy to care for chickens and collect fresh eggs every day
  * Responsible and trustworthy
  * Friendly and presentable when interacting with guests
  * Hands-on and practical
  * Independent and capable of solving small issues
  * Comfortable living in a rural environment
  * Happy spending time outdoors
  * Looking for a peaceful countryside experience rather than a party destination
  
  This position is not suitable for someone who wants to be away from the property all day, every day. The animals need attention and the property requires someone who is present. There is plenty of free time, but reliability and responsibility are essential.
  
  As I will be travelling for approximately 2.5 weeks, I will provide financial compensation for looking after the dogs, chickens and property during my absence.
  
  About me: I'm Patrick (42), originally from the Netherlands. After many years working in the Amsterdam startup scene, I moved to Spain to create a different lifestyle focused on nature, animals and outdoor living.

  I have 3 dogs 🐕, Guus (male 7 years), Leo (4 years) and Ruska (17 years female) and all very friendly and social. Essential that you love dogs, because they will be around. I also have 8 chicken ladies.
