Well I was only here for a short time but it was awesome! I felt so lucky! The family was on vacation but the manager Rinaldo was so great, he showed me very cool things in Belgium and we had fun. Had a great two weeks staying in this beautiful part of Belgium in the height of summer. Mireille and Adri were away most of that time (school holidays) but their manager, Rinaldo, was great to work with. I helped prepare breakfast, clean the guest rooms, do laundry and feed the pigs (perhaps the ugliest pigs I've ever seen, but harmless!) I also
… read more enjoyed working in the garden, live music outdoors in the evening, going for swims in the nearby river, and a hot air balloon festival in the nearby town of Hotton. If you are looking for an easy goiing and motivated help i would certainly advise hosts to contact Ibrahim. He only stayed for 6 days due to other plans but it was a nice experience with him.
He is a reliable and intelligent young man, and i hope to see him back sometime in life!

Had an absolutely amazing time! A beautiful location, all the wildlife you could imagine, and Mireille and Adry were extremely accommodating and generous. =) I would highly recommend staying here!

I'm sorry it took me so long to leave a feedback, but settling down at a new place and working full time has been really time consuming. My experience at Mireille and Adri's place was great. They are very nice people and the kids are really nice as well. I would wake up at 7am and would help mostly preparing breakfast, interacting with guests,
… read more making beds and cleaning the rooms if necessary. Then, around noon I would be free to go out and enjoy the outdoors. The area is really beautiful and accommodation was good as well. The family would always prepare and have dinner with us. The place is amazing for hiking, rafting and biking. We really explored the area. I spent nearly three weeks with this family and as my first workaway i could not have picked a better family or location .
Feeding the animals was a great way of getting to know the families and gathering information of their countries and cultures.
Also some great cycle routes so visiting local attractions was not a problem.

I was at Adri and Mireillas place for three weeks and it was one of the best experiences of my life. The farm is a special place; full of nature, peace and positive energy. We, workawayers, were able to kayak in a lake, do some canoping and climbing along with the group. The family is very relaxed and patient and the two girls, Mara and Sana, are super fun to play with.

You´ll find yourself surrounded by animals, nature and its sounds by day, and beautiful silence by night.. You might be lucky enough to see quite a few fireflies :)
For the workawayers, the places they offer are clean, comfortable and really well equipped. And in regards to the work, there are always things to do in the farm (animals and gardens) and the apartments, so you´ll probably end up learning quite a few new tricks.
In the short time I´ve stayed there, I feel I´ve collected many beautiful experiences and memories, and very grateful for the oportunity to have spent my time there with them.
