Hi guys!!!

I'm Tyng from Singapore. Together with my husband YS, we are currently taking a gap year from work. Our plan is to travel across Europe, Central America, and South America, with a stop in Africa to see the Great Migration. After that? Who knows? We will go with the flow!

Our experiences:
- I am an experienced Chinese language teacher at a secondary school in Singapore. This means I can teach Chinese effectively and possess soft skills such as communicating well with others. In my teaching years, I organized a lot of community services, overseas trips and school events. I volunteered in Vietnam in a language-learning cafe and as an English teacher before. And I had a Workaway experience in a dog sanctuary in Nepal.
- YS was a Scout in secondary school, growing up he spent a lot of time in the nature. He studied engineering in Uni and his hobby is trekking and photography. He had some Workaway experiences in Europe helping to take care of animals and building house.
- At home, we also designed our own house, painted all our home decors, made our own coffee table from scratch and etc. We are pretty hands-on persons.

My dream life is to stay on a farm and wake up surrounded by animals and nature!

Interesting things about me:
One of my travel habits is writing a postcard to myself from every city I visit. Recently, I’ve also started exploring local bookstores—I buy a book to read on the road and keep it as a souvenir. The best one I’ve found so far is Moomin from Finland.
