Description
Hello :) I'm Tom, from rainy Manchester UK. I'm an easy-going, thoughtful, and calm person who enjoys socialising and spending time with others while also cherishing my time alone to recharge. I'm organised, tidy, and reliable, and highly respectful of others’ personal space.
I'm away from home long-term (currently in Istanbul) travelling slowly around the world for a year or so.
I enjoy making music with friends, reading, swimming, playing chess (I'm not very good), running (I'm really not very good!), politics and current affairs, cooking, and learning about new cultures and languages.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
For the past two and a half years I've worked in government as a Researcher looking at youth unemployment. Before this, I had a three-year spell as a Bartender and then Bar Supervisor in a music venue, a few years of customer service experience in a clothes store, and around a year working in a fast-food restaurant. I also have an undergraduate Chemistry degree so I am happy to help with any Excel/maths-y/business stuff!
Volunteer experience:
Rockstel Towers Hostel, Unawatuna, Sri Lanka: worked on the reception desk checking guests in and out of the hostel (3 weeks)
Karma Hostel, Martvili, Georgia: housekeeping, plus help in the garden and kitchen (5 weeks)
English Spoken Cafe, Istanbul: hosted casual English language conversations with students and taught grammar, vocabulary etc (2 weeks)
