Description
Hello lovely people!
We are Woody & Emanuela and our toddler Aurora, all living in the small village of Martvili in Georgia. In 2018 we bought an old house with a big garden on the Georgian countryside, renovated it with a lot of love and opened a boutique hostel.
You can check us out on instagram
Over the past 5 years we hosted numerous Workawayers. They helped us with renovations, doing daily household chores, gardening and, of course, creating life in the hostel. It has been an amazing to experience how different personalities can become part of our little community and family and genuinely contribute to our project.
Our workaway page
Now we are searching for interesting projects to give back some of the love we received over the years. We'd love to explore other places to see how other hosts create and manage their space and contribute in whatever way we can be useful for you. We have a lot of skills to offer and equal desire to learn new ones.
Woody – love movement, circus and practicing a lot of handstand lately, enjoy a lot to socialise in the evening with a glass after a good day of work. Good music, dancing and a party (although it does not happen often anymore now that we baby). I want to learn to play the bongos.
Emanuela – Gardening is absolutely something I adore to do, it's pure relaxation. I like practicing yoga and waking up early in the morning.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

What can we help with?
Since we've been through the whole process of designing, building, maintaining, promoting and managing a hostel, we've gathered a lot of skills and experience to contribute to your project. We're
very efficient workers and take pride in doing a good job and finishing the work that we start.
Cooking – We're both highly skilled in cooking vegetarian meals for big groups (up to 40+ people) including creating a menu with whatever ingredients are available and food presentation. Preparing garden fruit jams, pickling and homemade lemonade (Emanuela)
Cleaning – Eye for detail and high cleaning standards
Online business promotion (Emanuela) – Professional photographer and social media content creation to promote your business (you can check out our instagram page for our style)
Hostel management – Making schedules, arranging tasks and managing our crew and group of volunteers.
Permaculture (Emanuela) – vegetable garden with raised beds, herbs, tomatoes, composting, planting, weeding
Landscaping – designing a garden into distinct spaces using flower beds, paths, pruning trees & bushes etc
Construction work (Woody) – Welding (chairs and benches), woodwork (wooden floors, kitchen bench and install doors), electricity (map out and install lights and plugs circuit, connect and install fusebox ), plumbing (showers, pipes, toilets, pump installation), pouring concrete floors, bricklaying, laying a terrace with reclaimed bricks,
Design & arts – creating visually-attractive, comfortable and practical spaces typically with found/recycled materials. Macramé (Emanuela) Mosaic (Emanuela & Woody)Langues parlées

We offer
– Delicious food every single day and a comfy bed. You will be sleeping in our dormitory which has a shared bathroom with 4 showers and 3 toilets. Every bed has a curtain, big drawer and its own light.
– A beautiful warm community with usually around 8 volunteers. We're definitely a place where you can enjoy a good talk our guests or have a moment by yourself in the garden
– Samegrelo has a mostly subtropical climate, so expect warm summers with plenty of exotic fruits like mandarins, kakhi, watermelon and kiwis. Autumns and winters are soft without below 0 temperature but can be rainy and windy.
– Days out in the canyon, visiting a waterfall or stargazing at the hot springs.Autres infos...
We are travelling with our 14-month old daughter. She's very social and pretty easy-going. We are doing fine running our hostel with her around. When she has her good days all goes pretty smooth and we can work while she is with us – except for certain dirty or power tools jobs.
However once in a while when she has a bad day, then only one of us will be able to work while the other looks after of her and we can switch during the day.
She's being raised in Dutch, English and Polish.Informations complémentaires
