🌿 Welcome to Kaş – A Reborn Backpackers’ Home Since 1985 🇹🇷
Hello my friend 🙋🏼♂️
Welcome to Türkiye!
We are the first backpacker hostel & bungalow establishment in the Kaş region, founded in 1985. Built into the hillside with lush gardens, wooden bungalows, and a charming stone house dormitory, our place has preserved its authentic spirit for over 40 years.
In 2011, during the construction of Kaş Marina and the surrounding road, the property was heavily damaged. Thanks to a global call for support, volunteers from all around the world came together to help rebuild it.
✨ International volunteers were the true heroes of our rebirth.
In 2021, we opened Livorno Restaurant, a stone-oven Italian kitchen that quickly became a well-known name across Turkey 🍕🧿
In 2024, with the addition of our new swimming pool, the facility evolved into a full diving resort.
As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to experience scuba diving and even take internationally recognized certification courses 🤿

👋 About Me
My name is Can. I’m an agricultural engineer (plant pathologist by profession). After 10 years in agribusiness in Istanbul, I moved to Kaş and have been running the camp with my family for the past 20 years.
During winter, my wife and I spend the season in Koh Tao, Thailand 🇹🇭 working as diving instructors. If you’re planning to continue traveling after Turkey, we’re happy to guide you with recommendations and connections.

Before & Beginning of the Season (March – May)
This is our preparation and renewal period.
Volunteers may help with:
• 🎨 Refreshing murals and artistic paintings around the property
• 🛠 Light restoration work (mainly painting & gardening)
• 🌱 Garden maintenance and landscaping
• 🍕 Supporting the restaurant team (basic prep & service assistance)
This period is perfect if you enjoy creative work, outdoor tasks, and seeing visible results of your contribution.

🌊 During the High Season (May – October)
This is our most active and social time of the year.
Volunteers may assist with:
• 🏊 Pool area support & helping around scuba training operations
• 🏕 Hospitality tasks in the hostel (guest interaction, reception support, organizing common areas)
• 🤝 Assisting our professional staff in daily operational tasks
• 🍹 Supporting the hostel bar or garden bar
During the season, energy, communication skills, and a positive attitude are essential.

Even though we could be with Can for a couple of days, and he wasn't there for the rest of our stay, But i can confidently say that he was a very kind hearted person and he created a very good atmosphere in his place.

I spent almost two weeks at the Can camping, hostel and restaurant. He has a small tourist complex full of young people to share and hang out. I helped with the bar terrace, cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms and common areas.

Three wonderful weeks in Kaş with Can,Sergün,Emre,Koray,Andres and beautiful cats and dogs :)).
The view from the hostel is amazing.
The job was pretty simple (helping Koray with the dishes, changing sheets for new guests, picking olives..)

It was my first workaway experience but I think it will be difficult to find place that will be same great as this camp. Can and Selgun has built a place with very good vibe and great care for the volunteers. I had been staying there for 3 weeks and really enjoyed everyday being there.

We volunteered at the place for 6 weeks. We loved our time volunteering for Can and Selgun. They made us feel so at home and are such kind, generous people. We really felt part of the family. We worked with för 3 weeks. His positive energy is reflecting everywhere he touches. Whatever He does is doing very good. He is Extremely easy going and intelligent. He did my hardest painting job always with a Smile. At thé end the work was much well done than a professional hand.

This is everything you could want in a campsite: a wonderful location across the street from the sea in scenic Kas, easy-going staff, great food, and interesting campers from around the world.
