Description

I am a recent graduate of the University of Vermont, and am excited by new places, sustainable ways of living, art, landscape design, and outdoor education. I am new to Workaway and plan on spending a few months abroad working, learning and connecting with people of all walks of life. I am open-minded, curious, and tend to have a sunny outlook on things! My favorite pastimes are drawing and painting, reading, and exploring through running or long walks. I'm also a nature lover and am always excited to learn the names of unfamiliar plants or birds.

I have experience with gardening, trail upkeep, painting, and working with kids of all ages. I am open to learning whatever tasks are most helpful to the host, but would be especially excited about teaching and permaculture/sustainable design projects.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a degree in Applied Ecology and minors in art and design. Outside of school I have worked as a teacher, outdoor educator, and camp counselor for kids of all ages, as well as in customer service. I would be excited to contribute to creative projects, and can draw traditionally or use Adobe Illustrator. I have experience caring for some types of animals (dogs, cats, chickens), and don't mind getting my hands dirty. I have gardening and planting design experience, can build a fire, chop/stack wood, bake and cook tasty vegetarian meals. I'm active and willing to do physical tasks as needed, and am very open to learning new skills!
