Description
We are newly retired adventurers who want to explore the world through long stays in various countries. We both have agricultural upbringings so are interested in trying different foods and seeing how they grow and even harvesting them from where ever we travel! Heather and Philip have helped at an Organic farm and Philip has done some volunteer work at the UK National Trust.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Heather was raised on a dairy farm with large vegetable gardens & chickens. Philip was raised on a beef farm and builds stone paths/walls. Heather worked in both the wine and beer making as a microbiologist. Philip worked as a computer manager. In retirement Philip volunteers at historic Fort Henry and at the 1000 Island Playhouse Theatre. Heather grows most of her own vegetables and herbs and enjoys cooking and canning. Philip loves to bake.

Trish is pure kindness and made sure we had everything for a comfortable stay from robes to tasty vegetarian home cooked meals & laundry. Riccardo & Trish were always appreciative of our work and very flexible. We did some mortar repair, painting and vegetation clearing on their property. Heather and Philip were our first retired couple.
They were punctual ,diligent,skilled and trustworthy.
They painted the garage and prepared the stone wall ready for rejuvenation which was no main feat.

Suzi was an awesome host. We were most warmly treated as part of the family. Our work scope was quite varied, based upon weather, her priorities, and nature. Our tasks were completed (except for the vineyard) and she was always most pleased with our progress and attention to detail. Heather and Philip are "grown ups" (mostly!). that means they are responsible, manage their time, think about their tasks and how to do them in the best way, are truthful and honest about what they feel comfortable taking on (not everyone is cut out for everything), and are also delightful people!

Our 2 week stay with Jean was awesome. The most delicious suppers with a Myriad of worldly conversations made our stay seem way too short. Taking care of Clover, the Lab, was a dream come true. He is a loveable fella who enjoys walks, brushing and attention.

Heather and Philip helped me alot during 2 1/2 weeks. They left some days earlier than scheduled because Heather becoming ill. I was really happy to have them here.
