Hello!
My name is Millie and I am 33 years old from the USA. I grew up in Washington DC and have lived in several cities all over US (DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, Texas, New Orleans, Hawaii, NYC) as well having lived in Ireland and Indonesia. I finished medical school a few years ago and now work as a radiologist in a hospital in NYC.
My favorite things include backpacking around the world, meeting new people, and learning new cultures! I enjoy being active, creating art, cooking, and meditation. I find inspiration in nature, serenity in a beautiful sunset, and peace under a starry sky. I love feeling a connection with nature and the earth by spending time outdoors, swimming in the ocean, and camping in wilderness.
Although I don't have much experience with workaway, my global volunteer experience includes having worked on several farms in Hawaii for a year (some of which were through WWOOF), living off the land and farming Kava. I spent several months teaching English to high schoolers in a village in Central Java, Indonesia, and spent several weeks volunteering on a banana farm in Mullumbimby, Australia. I try to travel and see the world as much as I can and love doing so through volunteering and becoming immersed in the local community. I'm excited for new adventures and whatever the future brings! :)
