Description
We are a small family in our late thirties, living our dream on a once-forgotten farm with a historic watermill. With the river running through our land, we are restoring the farm step by step—bringing life back to the farmhouse, tending to old fruit trees, and caring for our many animals, including
We grow our own food biodynamically, raise our own meat, and are starting goat milk and cheese production this year. With a greenhouse, outdoor veggie fields, and even a worm farm for compost, we embrace a self-sufficient, sustainable lifestyle. Open to people who share our passion, we welcome those who want to experience and learn about this way of life.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Our lives revolve around animals and nature. Christoph is passionate about blacksmithing, especially historical techniques, Viking craftsmanship, knife-making, and archery. Francie is all about horses—training, riding, and exploring nature on horseback. Guests can join us for horse rides, learn to ride, hike with a horse or goat on a leash, or take the dogs for a walk. Nearby, you can visit the famous Tamás Bath, go hiking, borrow bikes for scenic trips, or try fishing—we're happy to help with permits and equipment. The area is also rich in history, with many fascinating sites to explore.

A typical day on our farm starts with feeding the animals – a task where our full-time staff is always happy to receive some help. Those who enjoy working with animals can spend time caring for them, taking them for walks, milking, or simply bonding with them. If gardening is more appealing, there’s plenty to do, from creating new garden beds and raised beds to helping build a historic bakehouse.
In our greenhouse, we have a large, semi-underground water basin where our silver crucian carp live. Here, we are setting up an aquaponics system and growing young plants. Last year, we cultivated sweet potatoes, Jerusalem artichokes, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, chili, pumpkins, kohlrabi, and Swiss chard – all grown in soil we develop ourselves using manure composted in our worm farms.
We also plan to build more enclosures and barns and plant many trees to restore the forest, which has suffered greatly from years of neglect.
Beyond daily farm work, there are many opportunities to learn new skills. You can learn to ride, try your hand at blacksmithing, or simply help out in the areas that interest you most. You can also learn to drive a tractor, operate ( and repair) the machinery that makes our hay bales, or even try your hand at driving an excavator if you’re up for it! Everyone is welcome to get involved in their own way and become part of our farm life!Langues parlées

For lodging, we offer two options: For the adventurous, we have a charming and much-loved camper near the river, complete with a fenced yard—perfect for those traveling with a friendly dog. It has a compost toilet, a garden shower, and a small terrace for a true nature experience.
For those who prefer more comfort, we also provide a modern rental apartment just one kilometer from the farm. It accommodates two people, but unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
If guests would like to share meals with us, our motto is: what’s mine is also yours. We are happy to share our daily meals, which mostly consist of vegetables and farm raised meat, homemade bread but we also welcome vegans and vegetarians. The guest accommodation has storage and cooking facilities, so everyone is free to prepare their own meals if they prefer. We are happy to supply you with groceries or go shopping together.Informations complémentaires
