    Description

    (Looking to host women traveling with one young daughter, ideally so our daughters can play together)

    Hi, I'm Anna. I left the city to breathe clean air and enjoy long walks in nature every day. Now I live in Abruzzo, a land rich in biodiversity and breathtaking landscapes in the heart of Italy. I’m in the little and ancient village of Roccamorice (900 inhabitants). We live in a stone house that I love so much — on one side you can see the distant sea, and on the other, the magnificence of the nearby mountains.

    I live with little Thea, my 4-year-old daughter. We prepare fresh meals every day using our vegetables and fruits, along with local cheese and meat.

    I’m a Sagittarius — I love to travel and to share the beauty of my homeland. I find that being a Workaway host is a wonderful way to meet new people and learn about their cultures, while also receiving the help that is so valuable in everyday life with young children.

    I’m looking to host women traveling with one young daughter. Unfortunately, we cannot host larger families as the available room fits a maximum of two people.

    Our wish is to share a cool, peaceful home and a garden where the little ones can play together, enjoy creative activities and small excursions, and grow through the joy of discovering new languages and cultures.

    We’re looking for people who want to become part of our family — even if just for a short time. What matters most is the quality of the time we share. We’re truly happy when you feel at home and appreciated here.

    *** Right now we are looking for August and first weeks of September ***

    Ideal length of stay: 1 or even better 2 weeks, maximum 1 month.

    The most enriching part of a cultural exchange with us is the chance to truly discover Abruzzo — a region full of natural beauty, charming villages, and hidden treasures beyond the usual tourist paths.

    We love to explore and share the local area with our guests: from scenic walks in the mountains to afternoons at panoramic spots, waterfalls, and small local festivals. You’ll have the opportunity to meet people from the village, feel part of the local rhythm, and experience Italy in an authentic and personal way.

    We also love to enjoy slow, joyful days with the children — playing in the garden, listening to or making music, and sharing simple moments together. At home, there’s a piano and drums you’re welcome to play any time.

    You can also:
    • Practice Italian through daily conversations;
    • Learn how to cook traditional Italian dishes like pasta, pizza, risotto, and soups — simple recipes full of flavor and heart;
    • Relax and enjoy family-style time with other mothers and children.

    More than a lifestyle, this is an invitation to pause, connect, and share a unique experience of travel, discovery, and togetherness.

    The more you can support us — from cleaning to cooking — the easier it will be for us to organize amazing trips together: from ancient villages to mountain trails, from rivers to castles and mysterious caves. Abruzzo is full of wild beauty and hidden gems, and we love exploring and sharing them with our guests.

    Help at Home
    We kindly ask for daily support with keeping the house clean and cozy. This includes:

    - Cleaning the kitchen after lunch and dinner

    - Helping with general tidying, like putting toys back in their bins

    - Occasional cleaning of the bathroom

    - Helping with laundry (washing machine, hanging clothes, etc.)

    - Every gesture that helps maintain a harmonious space is truly appreciated!

    Free Time
    You’ll have 2 days off each week to use however you like — to rest, explore solo, or join us for planned activities and outings.

    This is an ideal experience if you start the day with a smile and feel grateful, as we do, for the opportunity to enjoy this wonderfully wild and beautiful world together

    We live in Roccamorice, a small village within the Majella National Park. If you are looking for the nightlife it is not here, this is the ideal place to connect with the territory and live an authentic countryside experience, where time passes slower and every day is special.

    The house is surrounded by greenery. You easily have the opportunity to take walks in the mountains, trips to the river, horseback riding, and the opportunity to practice trekking and climbing.

    Below is a small list of some of the places we can visit together.
    Very near us there are very suggestive places such as the hermitage of San Bartolomeo, the ancient village of Fara san Martino, the Orfento valley, the Trabocchi coast for a wild sea, the mountains of Gran Sasso, Monte Amaro, the Monti della Laga, Lake Scanno, The plain of Campo Imperatore called the small Tibet, the medieval village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio and Rocca Calascio, the Stiffe Caves, Alba fucens, the Lavino park with its emerald waters.
