Hello! My name is Arthur, and I am excited to join the Workaway community. Originally from France, I have had the chance to travel through several countries and experience incredible adventures. These experiences have taught me to adapt quickly, meet people from all cultures, and get involved in local projects.

My motivations:
- My desire to travel goes beyond simple tourism. I love immersing myself in local cultures, understanding their values, and sharing authentic moments with the people I meet.
- The idea of actively contributing to projects that have a positive impact on the community motivates me immensely. Whether it’s helping in a hostel, working on environmental projects, or supporting social initiatives, I find satisfaction in giving back while learning.

What I love:
- Nature: I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it's hiking, swimming in crystal-clear waters, or simply relaxing in a natural setting. Every landscape has its own beauty to discover.
- Cuisine: I love exploring local gastronomy and cooking new dishes. Cooking is a way for me to discover cultures and create moments of sharing around a good meal.
- Languages: I am passionate about learning languages. This helps me not only communicate with others but also better understand the cultures and traditions that surround them.
- Meeting people: Every journey is an opportunity to make new friendships and exchange stories. I love listening to the experiences of others and sharing my own.

I am Arthur, a social worker currently based in Montreal, Canada. I have a diverse background in community service and social engagement, with experiences across multiple countries. Here’s a brief overview of my skills and experiences:

Social Work and Community Engagement: Currently managing a community library, where I provide personalized support to members and help integrate newcomers into the center.

Experience with Diverse Populations: Through the European Solidarity Corps, I worked in Braga, Portugal, engaging with elderly individuals to prevent social isolation and supporting young adults with disabilities. My role involved daily collaboration with people from various cultural backgrounds.

Environmental and Ecological Initiatives: I participated in a project in Iceland at the Eco-Village of Solheimar, where I assisted international volunteers with tree planting, trail construction, and gardening while promoting initiatives to reduce human pollution.

Educational Support: In Spain, I supported teachers and led a radio club at a French high school, enhancing my skills in communication and teamwork.

Hospitality and Customer Service: I have worked in various roles within the hospitality sector, including managing a snack bar at a camping site in France, where I welcomed and served customers while working as part of a team.

Adaptability and Teamwork: My experiences in production roles in France have equipped me with strong teamwork skills and the ability to meet deadlines while adhering to safety regulations.

I am passionate about cultural exchange, learning from others, and contributing to meaningful projects. I look forward to the opportunity to share my skills and gain new experiences through Workaway.

I enjoy watching movies and exploring new places. I am an animal lover and have a deep appreciation for nature and historical heritage, as I studied history. I also like playing board games from time to time. I have a strong desire to broaden my horizons, discover new cultures, and expand my intercultural relationships. I thrive on challenges that push me out of my comfort zone and allow me to experience life to the fullest.
