Description
We are Kasia and Kuba, we settled down in a beautiful place surrounded by forests and hills where we decided to live our life in peace with nature and the local community. Our return to simple and slower life manifests itself in building traditional wooden house and establishing an organic farm based on permaculture principles.
Our mission is not only to build a house but also to go back to the custom of mutual help in a community with respect to each other and nature. We have already put that theory into practice. For a few years we have been helping and assisting our neighbours and friends with varied works in exchange for their work and help in our project. We believe that volunteering opportunities are an essential part of a mutual aid idea.
What we managed to achieve in recent years, with a huge help of our volunteers: - dismantle the old house, - built concrete basement (a foundation of a new house), - start wooden construction (base, two terraces, door frames, window frames). Up to now we almost reached the ceiling beams.
We can offer you vegetarian/vegan food and stay in exchange for your help. The working time will be 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. But if you feel like working more (or less) it is also fine and up to you.
We can host you from beginning of July. There is a special room for volunteers in our barn. We can also arrange a space for a tent.
Even thou there is plenty of work we cannot forget of some fun and relax in the free time so bring your hammock, yoga mat, musical instruments, good ideas, smile on your face and enjoy the vibe!Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Staying in our place will be a great opportunity to learn something about wooden construction, gardening, composting, no-waste cooking, mutual aid and organizing.
While in Poland in Subcarpathian region you can discover contemporary polish village and all kinds of local issues. It is a chance to catch some Polish words and find out more about this Eastern-European country.
If you love nature, it moght be a good chance to learn about natural forest protecion and eco-activism.Aide
Our volunteers' day will be full of activities as well as some time to relax and enjoy the nature around. This year we need assist mainly in the FARM and with COOKING - help with vegetarian cooking, gardening, taking care after the land, grass trimming, collecting firewood and garden mulch material, composting etc.
The WOODWORKS will be optional but mainly for volunteers who have some previous experience with tools.
There will be some shared tasks that everyone can be involved in, such as taking care of the common area, cleaning the site and other ad hoc tasks depending on the progress. Needless to say, everyone is welcome to observe woodworks and ask just any question about the project. Adding to that, we are flexible and open to let people try and learn things that they take an interest in.
We are going to share the same tasks as our volunteers and lead them throughout their stay in Karczmarówka.
We need to emphasize that all tasks matter and they are all uniquely essential. We are aiming to create a team and help one another.Langues

Our place is located not far from Rzeszów which is the main city of Poland’s Subcarpathia Province. It is also not that far from Przemyśl a city that is a true tourist attraction.
But, if sightseeing and city tours are not your thing, there is this amazing and wild nature just around the corner. The region is perfect for hiking in the Bieszczady mountains, kayaking on the San river, cycling in Pogórze Przemyskie.... and much more. There is also an opportunity to join a protest camp for natural forest protection in Pogórze Przemyskie (Turnicki National Park).
There are many buses coming from Rzeszów to nearby village from where we can pick you up.Informations complémentaires

we were all working together on one project most of the time, there was lots of good vibes and the work was fun, even though it was hard work and we got quite a bit of rain.
I also learned a lot about traditonal log house building.
I recommend bringing some waterproof working shoes :)
