Description
A maintenance technician by trade, I have always had rewarding experiences while volunteering. Now transferring and learning new skills via Workaway, I can help you realise your construction, maintenance, restoration and sustainable projects. Travelling with a camper van September 2025 to Spring 2026.

I'm not all about machine maintenance. Through volunteer projects over the years I've always met the most interesting people, learnt the most diverse skills, had the best times, made the best connections. I would like to continue finding all of these things and help out with some different projects too.

I volunteered here for four weeks, during which time Tracy, my host, was extremely accomodating and invaluable in helping me sort out a myriad of issues that I had to deal with in Italy. I was able to make all sorts of contacts through her who were then able to get the various odd things that I required for my travelling.

I had a lovely few days with Laura and fellow volunteers in this beautiful old stone house. Laura has been the most welcoming of my Workaway hosts so far, in that I usually stay in my camper van but here there was a lovely bedroom and a comfortable bed awaiting me. Andrew just stayed a couple of days - kind of as a stopover on his way up to Spain and France. He had applied earlier for a longer period, and although he had ended up at a different Workaway instead he kept in touch and made it possible to come still.

Andrew stayed on the farm for a month, two weeks out of that month was farm-sitting.
