Hello! I'm Enrico, 29 yo.
I come originally from Torino (Italy) but have been living abroad for most of my adult life. I speak fluently Italian, English, Spanish and average French. Currently, I am taking a gap year (or more?) to travel in Central/South America after getting a PhD in physics. I started my trip sailing from mainland Europe and crossing the Atlantic to reach Caribes. But sailing is more a recent thing. As my birthplace is close to the Alps, I love any type of outdoor activity in wild nature, such as hiking and wild camping in remote areas. In recent years my love for the Ocean is surpassing the one for the mountains, as I got into scuba diving and then free diving (and then sailing... and who knows next). I love all the animals, not only pets but especially the animals in the wild and also the creatures that people usually don't like (snakes, sharks, spiders, frogs etc..).
Apart from the nature side, I am very interested in cultural activities of any kind, especially related to music and literature. I play drums, guitar and flute - none of them well ;)
People usually describe me as a very easy-going person, and a good listener. I am very used to share my living space with other people. I enjoy very much to hear stories from different people, and to share mine. I like to put myself in situations of discomfort, where I can learn something new about the world and about myself, growing in the process.
And, of course, I enjoy a lot to hang out with friends and new people :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am an Electronic Engineer but I did a number of other jobs in my life - researcher, computer technician, hostels, B&B, volunteer in cat shelter, fruit harvesting, selling sandwiches, teaching math and physics, sailing as crew.
All these activities taught me a broad range of skills: solving people's problems with technology, event planning, hotel reception, animal care, cleaning, customer care, education, cooking, professional writing, public speaking.
There are a number of other things that I enjoy but I am no professional: video making and editing, scuba diving, freediving, sailing, fishing, alpinism.
As a researcher, I can also offer my most trained skillI: the ability of learn new skills :)
