Soy una persona de 42 años que nació en Santiago (Chile) y que vive en Barcelona hace 18 años. Tengo las dos nacionalidades chilena y española. Estudié agricultura y sociología, dos disciplinas que he intentado poner en práctica a través de la educación ambiental. Tuve un proyecto de educación ambiental "La Zanahoria Teatrera" al cual le dediqué muchos años y vida, es la razón de mi sobrenombre"Zanahoria".Quien este interesado en conocerme un poquito más puede revisar mi antiguo blog http://lazanahoriateatrera.wordpress.com

En la actualidad tengo un trabajo de temporada de verano (mayo-septiembre), soy informadora en un punto de información ambiental del Ayuntamiento de Barcelona. Anteriormente, fui funcionaria administrativa del gobierno local (Ayuntamiento de Barcelona) y creo que es importante señalar que desde adolescente que he trabajado en restaurantes como camarera y ayudante de cocina, en épocas a tiempo completo y en otras, como ahora, puntualmente como extra.

Puedo decir que soy bastante polivalente y sociable; me gusta mucho el contacto directo con la gente, los niños (trabajé durante varios años con ellos), y el trabajo al aire libre y manual; me interesa mucho conocer vidas, historias y culturas diferentes, compartir momentos, la vida al aire libre, la naturaleza, etc. He tenido dos experiencias de WorkAway en las que he aprendido, compartido, disfrutado y conocido a gente maravillosa y por eso quiero repetir este año! Aunque me gustarían muchas cosas, tengo una especial preferencia: ME GUSTARIA SER VOLUNTARIA EN UN HOSTEL-ALBERGUE DE MONTAÑA EN FRANCIA :-)

Importante para mi a la hora de compartir es que tengo alergia a los gatos (aunque puedo convivir con ellos cuando el espacio es grande) y no soy fumadora, aunque el humo (con sentido común) no me molesta para nada. Me interesa especialmente practicar mi francés, llevo estudiándolo durante unos 5 años y quiero mejorar mi nivel. Mi inglés hablado es básico pero tengo una buena comprensión; hablo catalán de forma fluida.

I am a 42-year-old woman born in Santiago (Chile) and who has lived in Barcelona for 18 years. I hold both Chilean and Spanish nationality. I studied agriculture and sociology, two disciplines I tried to put into practice through environmental education. I had an environmental education project, "La Zanahoria Teatrera," to which I dedicated many years of my life; this is the reason for my nickname "Zanahoria." I currently have a seasonal summer job (May-September), serving as an information officer at an environmental information point for Barcelona City Council. Previously, I was an administrative employee for the local government (Barcelona City Council), and I think it's important to note that since I was a teenager, I have worked in restaurants as a waitress and kitchen assistant, sometimes full-time and sometimes, like now, as an extra.

I can say that I am quite versatile and sociable; I really enjoy direct contact with people, children (I worked with them for several years), and outdoor and manual labor. I'm very interested in learning about different lives, stories, and cultures, sharing moments, the outdoors, nature, etc. I've had two WorkAway experiences where I've learned, shared, enjoyed, and met wonderful people, and that's why I want to do it again this year! Although I'd like to do many things, I have one special preference: I'd like to volunteer at a mountain hostel in France :-)

One think important to me when sharing is that I'm allergic to cats (although I can live with them when the space is spacious) and I'm not a smoker, although smoke (with common sense) doesn't bother me at all. I'm particularly interested in practicing my FRENCH; I've been studying it for about five years and want to improve my level. My spoken English is basic, but I have a good understanding; I speak Catalan fluentlY (C1).

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Soy una persona proactiva, creativa y curiosa por seguir aprendiendo cosas nuevas. Me adapto bien a diversas circunstancias. Estoy especialmente interesada en todo lo que respecta a incorporar la sostenibilidad (ambiental, económica y social) a mi vida y poder aportar a que la sociedad se desarrolle y evolucione en este sentido. He trabajado con niños/as y adultos/as haciendo educación ambiental (talleres de huerto urbano y campañas de información ambiental de todo tipo) por lo que me gusta el contacto directo y el dialogo con la gente.
Me gusta mucho el tema del turismo y hoteleria, he trabajado como camarera y ayudante de cocina y es algo que me gustaria poder seguir haciendo.

I am a proactive, creative person who is curious about continuing to learn new things. I adapt well to different circumstances. I am especially interested in everything that concerns incorporating sustainability (environmental, economic and social) into my life and being able to contribute to the development and evolution of society in this sense. I have worked with children and adults doing environmental education (urban garden workshops and environmental information campaigns of all kinds) so I like direct contact and dialogue with people.
I really like the tourism and hospitality fields, I have worked as a waitress and kitchen assistant and it is something that I would like to be able to continue doing.

Toco el acordeón hace muchos años pero sigo teniendo un nivel bajo y me gustaría dedicarle más tiempo ! Me gusta mucho y practico yoga Iyengar :-)
