Hello,
my name is Simone, I’m 30 years old and I come from Lamezia Terme, a small town in Calabria, in the South of Italy.

I have a strong connection with nature and outdoor life — especially the sea — but I also enjoy exploring cities and learning from local communities. I appreciate authentic environments, everyday habits, and the cultural identity behind places and people.

Sports are an important part of my life: I’ve practiced basketball, football, swimming, water polo, and I currently practice kickboxing. I’m also interested in holistic wellbeing and I’m always open to learning more about yoga, pilates and meditation.

I love cooking and discovering food traditions. Whenever I travel, local markets are usually the first places I explore, because they reflect the true soul of a community. I care deeply about sustainability, responsible consumption and environmental awareness. I am also passionate about film, music and contemporary art — forms of expression that inspire me and help me connect with different perspectives.

I am flexible, motivated and open to learning new skills. I am not afraid of physical work and I enjoy being part of collaborative projects, especially where manual tasks, creativity and problem-solving are involved. I value cooperation, respect, and clear communication.

I’m looking to contribute my time and abilities in exchange for meaningful experiences, cultural exchange and the opportunity to connect with inspiring people. I believe in mutual respect, kindness and the freedom of every individual.

I look forward to building new memories, learning from others and sharing daily life with people who care about community and growth.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm a master graduate in Industrial Biotechnology and thanks to my studies I have developed many scientific skills within university research laboratories. In addition, I have extensive part-time work experience in several areas. I have held roles as a swimming instructor, lifeguard, dogsitter, waiter, bartender, receptionist, summer animator, painter and mover.

These experiences have provided me flexibility, organizational skills and excellent management of interpersonal relationships. They are also proficient in computer and internet use, with skills that include data management, software usage, and online research. I am dynamic, curious and particularly appreciate working with people. My manual skills enable me to handle maintenance work with ease and precision.

I already had volunteer experience in the Universal Civil Service and provided support to educators in running a centre for helping children in difficulty. It was a deeply moving experience that enriched me personally and taught me the importance of community service.

My mother tongue is Italian and I am very motivated to teach it to others. In addition, I have a B1 level of English, which allows me to communicate acceptably in everyday and work situations.
