Howdy!
My name is Paul Busse. I currently live in Washington State but I have lived in many states and I am originally from Klawock, Alaska. A small fishing village on a remote island in southeast Alaska. I am interested in volunteering in South America, Central America or Europe. my profession is a steam plant operator where I operate, maintain and troubleshoot industrial equipment (boilers, pumps, valves...) but I have experience working in hotels, lodges, boats, homes and even remote tents in wilderness areas surrounded by bears. I enjoy nature, working outside, snowboarding, kayaking and pretty much any outdoor activity that involves mountains or the ocean.

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting Paul who was a fantastic worker, cutting trees, clearing large overgrown corners –– he put his hand to anything we asked of him and went beyond too. Great card player and very interesting to talk to. We warmly recommend him and wish him all the best in his travels.

This was the first place I have ever stayed longer than I originally planned and mostly for good reasons! It was a perfect fit for me really took me back to my youth working at a fishing lodge.
