Description
Hello everyone!
We are a Simone(34), Salah(33) and our 4 year-old daughter, Yara.
Simone is originally from the Netherlands and is very much known for her interest in animals, plants and making some super delicious food. ( She used to make dishes in a semi professional way, yummy!)
Salah is pretty handy and is usually doing the heavy things outside, he has versatile knowledge about many topics regarding farming & building. (Kind of a Jack of all trades, master of few)
There are also three cats, named Mr. Snuggles, Hank and Poepje and a bunch of chickens living with us.
More animals will be introduced soon :)
If you are around and looking for a calm peaceful place than our area could be it, we love to go for outdoor activities and have a dip in the river and lagoons. We are interested in farming and everything we can learn to live a more self-sufficient life in general. The main goal is to grow as much food on the land as we can.

You'll be staying with a well-traveled couple (Travelled to over 50 countries) in a remote beautiful spot in the Portuguese mountains. Sharing stories, knowledge and fun times.

Aide
At the moment there are my things going on such as rebuilding animal shelters, preparing veggie garden for the upcoming season, renovating the main house (We already have new windows, new electricity circuit, new boiler etc.) clearing some brush, play dates with the kid, general maintenance, pruning trees, usual household stuff and many other projects.
There is also a small but good equipped workshop where we make some crafty work, let's be creative!
You would be part of our little family and participate in any things we will be doing, of course we also think that everyone works best according to their own schedule.
Mostly we go with the flow of what feels best and with what the weather permits. Of course, you can spend and organize your free-days or free-time as you wish (there is so much to explore here!).
Or sometimes, we are just enjoying the company with some drinks and good food :)

Hébergement
You could sleep with us in the house (as renovations are ongoing we would have to share a room) or we put a tent (2x3m) up on one of our terraces. We are very flexible with the setup and are happy to figure it out with you together :)
About food, we love to prepare and share our meals together.

Quinta de Marianna is situated in a small village called Serrazes with little over 3500m² which provides plenty of opportunities to roam around and discover the area.
If you like the outdoors this is the place to be. You can go for yoga classes, hiking, swimming, rafting, canoeing, and climbing.
Everything is possible.
There are thermal baths in Sao Pedro do Sul, Termas. (the closest bigger town).
