Hi!

I'm Max (he/him). I study for a teacher's degree at Leipzig University. I'm now almost finished with my studies. One of the few things left before the final exams is to stay for 2 months in an English-speaking country, which is why I've created an account here on Workaway! :)

I speak fluent English and German. I can also speak some Russian.

One of my favorite hobbies is drawing. I love to sketch and doodle characters. I also enjoy drawing for others. One of the things I like a lot about drawing is that there are so many fascinating art styles and techniques to try out and learn.

Some people within the last two years have told me I might have ADHD and others have said I don't have it. So I've been trying to get an appointment for an assessment.

About two years ago I read about the mental health benefits of meditation and started to occasionally meditate. I've found it to be very relaxing, and made friends with someone who has a lot of experience with meditation. I'm working towards developing a habit of meditating regularly. I'd say it's (almost) as cool as drawing! :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Studying for a teacher's degree has helped me developing a lot of different skills. My teacher's degree is for teaching English as a foreign language as well as physics, but it has also included courses on things like communication and psychology to prepare us students for teaching lessons. In three one-month internships we had the chance to apply our knowledge from seminars and lectures and gain practical experience, which I found challenging but also rewarding and insightful.

While I've always loved conveying knowledge I also enjoy learning all sorts of new things myself. From 1st to 10th grade I went to a non-governmental school that values autodidactic learning a lot. Looking back I really appreciate how much us pupils could decide ourselves what we learn and if we wanted to get grades or not. To me it was the best school in the world and one big reason that inspired me to decide to study for a teacher's degree.

As for my spare time, I wouldn't consider my drawing skills to have reached a professional level yet, but I'm really happy with the progress I've made, especially in regards to drawing digitally. It's always nice to surprise friends and family with a drawing for their birthday or create fan art of a character.
