Description
HI! My name is Matias, I’m french & argentinian and I've traveling around mostly by sailboat recently.
I have volunteered with workaway all across south america, during a gap year I took in 2018, and it was absolutely fantastic! I look back at it as very happy times, helping in hostels, farms and families with great people, and I am excited to have another go at it !
A bit about me: I was raised in Gabon, a small country next to the atlantic Ocean in Africa, that my parents reached on a sailing boat, it is probably what gave me the will to travel the world! :) Sailing has always been a part of my life and it is now also my job. I would gladly share a bit of that passion with you if you want!
I like to stay active and have never said no to sports, hikes or bike trips! -

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have practical skills, building, repairing, some gardening etc… My engineering studies have taught me a lot but it is mostly theoretical knowledge.
I also love languages and can teach the ones I know. -

I believe that human connection is extremely valuable and important for me. I love to be around others and get energy from it.
My experience of travelling has taught me that any place can become a paradise when shared with great people!

I stayed at Niko and Isa’s place for 3 weeks, which passed by very quickly. It was a very welcoming environment, filled with generous people.
The work is very rewarding and meaningful, like picking apples from the trees to make apple juice, cutting and storing wood for the winter, harvesting grapes and much more! I would … read more
