Description
We are a family of 5, our three girls are 16, 18 and 20 years old. The eldest is studying at the University in The Netherlands, so she is not at home. We also have two dogs and two cats. We are a lively family and like having people around. The girls are happy and open minded youngsters and love making new friends. You would immediately be part of the family.
My husband is English and I am German. As a family, we speak English, German and Spanish at home. We are looking for either a German native speaker or a French native speaker to improve those two languages. The girls are trilingual and study French at school and I am also taking French classes.
Your time would be divided between cooking the family meals (cook lunch and prepare dinner) and doing household chores/ garden work. Usually we all chip in with household chores but there is always some extra to be done. Lunch and dinner hours are fixed (lunch at 3pm, dinner at 8ish pm). Regarding the chores, you are flexible about the timing.
As for the languages, it is basically about speaking. For German the communication will be on mother tongue level with the idea of keeping the language present in the family. For French we are looking more at easy conversation practice. We are not expecting any structured lessons, but rather interesting and fun conversation at meal times or whenever there is an opportunity.
We would love to have somebody around who is happy to be part of a family. Although you have your own room and bathroom, we really look for somebody who likes chatting with everybody, playing games together (table tennis, pool, badminton, table football, cards, table top games, etc.) and generally hanging out with the family/ the girls (maybe baking cakes, watching a movie , etc).
We live in a beautiful house with garden and pool in a village close to Valencia. There is a good metro connection to Valencia, within 30 minutes you are in the city centre. You would have plenty of time to go to Spanish Classes - or enjoy your free time.

You would help to improve the girl's German and their and my French respectively through conversation, games and being part of the family. Meal times are fixed, but garden/ household chores can be done any time. We do look for somebody who likes spending time with us, however the girls also have activities, so do not have that much leasure time. We also like doing things together like going to the cinema, to Valencia or on excursions and you would be very welcome to join.

We live in a lovely house in a residential area of La Eliana, a village outside Valencia. We have a big garden with a trampoline and a pool. You have your own room and bathroom. We eat meals together and you would be part of the family.
