Hey there! I'm just starting my first adventure through Workaway, and I'm super excited to meet new people, experience different cultures, and hopefully learn a few great recipes along the way. I grew up in a small rural area in Germany, where cultural exchange doesn’t happen all that often—so food became one of the main ways I could connect with the world. That’s still true for me today: I’m happiest when there’s good food around and honestly, it doesn’t take much to please me on that front.

I’m a pretty energetic and positive person, and once I decide to do something, I give it my all. Whether it’s helping out, learning something new, or just sharing a laugh, I like to bring good vibes and a bit of colour to whatever I do.

In my free time, I love getting creative—I paint and sketch whenever I can. I’m also really into movies and shows that make me think or see things differently.

More than anything, I’m here to learn, grow, and build real connections. I’m looking forward to getting to know people and hearing their stories, making some new friends, and picking up a few new skills along the way.

German is my mother tongue, and I’d be happy to help others learn or practice it. I also speak English at a C2 level, having passed the Cambridge exam. I’ve studied Spanish in school, though I didn’t have much chance to speak it, so I’m hoping to improve that during my travels. I’ve also started learning a bit of Japanese on the side and have a growing interest in Italian—and really, in languages in general. I love the idea of connecting with people through their native language and learning more as I go!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I recently completed my A-levels in Germany and have gained a mix of practical, creative, and team-based experience along the way. I’ve done an internship at our local district court, worked in retail during school, and helped renovate my sister’s house after it was flooded—so I’m no stranger to rolling up my sleeves and adapting to new tasks. I recently completed a few workaway stays as well, where I could gain some practical renovation- and team-work based experiences.

I’m eager to learn new skills and always open to new challenges. At school, I helped the student counsil plan and run events—everything from decorating and waitressing to last-minute problem solving. I also took part in a working group focused on creating lessons and projects to fight discrimination and bullying.

Creatively, I photographed and edited posters for my school’s theatre club. I’m fluent in both German and English, and currently trying to learn Spanish. I also helped care for my family’s dog and chickens, and did a workaway stay at an animal rescue farm, where I mostly worked with the wonderful dogs, that I grew to love very quickly. All in all, I’m very comfortable around animals.
