Hey there! I'm a 20-year-old from Germany currently traveling through New Zealand. I finished school last year and decided to take some time to explore the world, learn new things, and grow through hands-on experiences.

Right now, I’m staying with a lovely family on a small property where I help with gardening, cleaning, and other daily tasks. I’ve really enjoyed being part of their routine and seeing how much a helping hand can make a difference.

I enjoy physical work, being outdoors, and doing something meaningful – whether that’s working with plants, animals, or helping around the house. I’m an easygoing, respectful person who loves cultural exchange and is always open to learning something new.

What brings me happiness? Good conversations, peaceful nature, and seeing the results of a day's work. I’m curious by nature, interested in sustainability and different ways of living, and I’m excited to keep discovering more of New Zealand through Workaway.

I absolutely enjoy learning languages! I believe that speaking different languages is a great way to connect with people and understand different cultures. So far, I speak German (my native language) and English, and I’m also a beginner in Japanese and French. I’m open to learning new languages, whether it’s picking up some basics of the local language in each place I visit or improving my existing language skills. I find it exciting to communicate in different ways, and I think it really enhances the experience of traveling and living abroad

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I spent the past 3 months living with my uncle, his wife, and their two kids (my cousins) here in New Zealand. My uncle and his family run a carpentry business, and I worked alongside them, helping with various woodworking tasks.

Besides working in the carpentry business, I also helped around the house with general chores, did some gardening, and spent time playing with the kids. This experience gave me the opportunity to develop both practical skills in carpentry and a deeper understanding of family life and business.

While I’m still new to Workaway, I’m excited to gain more experience and continue learning. I’m always ready to get my hands dirty and tackle any tasks that come my way, with a positive and responsible attitude.

In my free time, I’m really passionate about football – both playing and watching games. I love the energy and teamwork involved in the sport.

I’m also into sports in general and enjoy going on long bike tours or hitting the gym for a good workout session. Staying active is important to me, and I always feel energized after some physical activity.

When I need some relaxation, I like to read books, whether it’s fiction, non-fiction, or something informative.

Being in nature is another big part of my life. I enjoy hiking and taking long walks, exploring the outdoors, and appreciating the beauty of the natural world.

Lastly, I do enjoy playing video games from time to time – it's a fun way to unwind and challenge myself.
