Hi!!
My name is Lara and I just turned 19 this year. I am Dutch but have in fact lived in Sweden my whole life. In June I will be done studying and hope to be able to visit new places after that. My goal with travel is to learn more about other ways of living and my own interests, seeing as I don't have a clue about what I should study next. My goal was to be an au pair the three months following my graduation, but the amount of families in Ireland who were looking for one, on aupair.com, were numbered, so I switched to workaway. Hoping to find other activities and more freedom using this website.

I am fairly shy, but open up with time. My hobbies include sewing, dancing and painting my nails. Don't place your judgment on me just yet :) I also enjoy mathematics, photography and hiking and dream of doing so in Ireland, right now I have my mind set on Ballycotton. If you have other recommendations, please let me know! I am a pescatarian, which means I do not eat meat, but do however eat seafood.

Growing up in a family of six, plus dogs, means I am used to having people around me a lot of the time. Therefor this whole solo traveling is nerve racking to me and I hope to find a sweet host who will help me on this first time trip.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My previous work experiences consists of working with elderly whom have dementia and doing charity work at a second hand shop. Personally I believe I am a fast learner, but doesn't everybody say that :)

I have always wanted to work with teaching and children, but have not had the opportunity yet. When I start my travels I will have graduated high school, with focus on biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics. I am also interested in many different artforms, such as painting, dancing and drawing :) Furthermore I love to sew and I think we have the Swedish school system to thank for that, because it was one of the subjects you learn early on. This also is the case for woodwork, so I have a little experience with that as well. Lastly I was a scout when I was younger and my family has always been outdoorsy and it has affected me as well.
