Very good experience at the rescue. The place is just as described, with lots of animals. The tasks include feeding the babies and feeding in general, as well as cleaning cages. All the volunteers are very nice and always willing to help and teach you!! Honestly, I really liked it!

Javier was amazing. He spent about a month helping us at the rescue and was incredibly helpful, diligent, passionate, enthusiastic, genuinely interested in animal care, dedicated and easy to be around.
We absolutely loved having him here. He got stuck into any task we asked or him from cleaning, feeding, aviary builds, releases and even got

We miss having him here and would strongly encourage you take Javier on as a workawayer if you get the opportunity.

My first Workaway experience was with a wildlife rescue, and it has been truly unique. You have direct and constant contact with the animals in recovery — you get to see how they evolve and improve most of the time.
The most beautiful part is that they’re released back into their natural habitat when they’re ready.

I highly recommend this experience if you’re a true animal lover and don’t mind getting a little dirty! Haha!
If I can, I’ll definitely go back! I miss all the local wildlife so much — and of course, food-loving Bella too! :D

I spent two weeks at Julies place and it was such a nice time. Julie and her team are all amazing, they are sooo friendly and welcoming. I got everything I asked for and Julie did everything to make me feel like home.
I worked at several places with animals before but working with the wild life is so different and special, in a positive way. My
… read more most favorite part was cleaning the baby foxes, they are soooo cute. You have the chance to not only look at the wild animals but to really work with them.
The veterinary nurse teached me so many interesting things and I'm so greatful for that. Anyways, it's definitely from advantage if you already have some experience at working with animals.
Julie also has a adorable dog, that I miss already.

Charlize was a very dedicated, compassionate hard working person. She excelled at every tasks and had no trouble doing anything that was asked of her. Every single volunteer that she met over her 2 week stay told me how impressed they were by her and what a great work ethic she had at such a young age. Highly recommend Charlize to any work away
