Description

Hi, I'm Katja, a contemporary nomad from Slovenia, Europe. After living a 9 - 5 life for way too long, I decided it's time for a new chapter in life. I was working in media publishing: content creation, social media management, editing, and creative direction.

In recent years I've started to feel more drawn towards nature, sustainable living and eco projects. My dream is to build a small artist retreat in Bulgaria.

Some of my Wokaway experience:
- HOSPITALITY: I assisted in running a small jungle resort and handled food & drink service. Outside Workaway I also worked in a 4* boutique hotel in Slovenia for 6 months
- HOUSE SITTING & PET SITTING: I've done many projects where I took care of people's properties and their animals: horses, sheep, cats, dogs, chickens
- OFF-GRID PROJECTS: I've done a few off-grid projects where I built with natural materials, planted and weeded the gardens, used different tools, took care of general maintenance, cooked, etc.
- VIDEOGRAPHY: In an animal sanctuary in Tenerife I produced YouTube videos about life in an eco community. I also took care of one of the dogs we rescued from a shelter.

I'm also a member of Couchsurfing and Rover (pet-sitting platform). I have my own YouTube channel about slow living.
