ABOUT US:
I’m a Spanish English homework coach, married with two children (13 and 20 year-old girls). My husband works at the sea during weekdays.
Speaking about us, we’re easy-going, flexible, good-humored, polite and respectful.

We’ll be perfectly happy to help you improve your Spanish. My daughters and I will be delighted to teach you new words and explain everything about our rich and diverse culture. During our days out. if you want, we could show you all the vocabulary related to food, tapas and so on... It’ll be up to you to achieve better communication skills!
Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Overall, Cantabrian people are extremely friendly and polite.

Aide
I’ve been studying English for a long time in an attempt to achieve proficiency level but it’s been very difficult. I finally passed the C2 Exam (not Cambridge), although I don't feel I'm a bilingual person after achieving this certificate. I still need someone willing to help me brush up my communication skills.
Although I don’t mind if your mother tongue isn’t English, the help I need requires a very good command of the English language.
WHEN:
If you want, we could arrange our working hours in advance, so you could spend your free time as you wish. In the morning or in the afternoon.
Days off are negotiable : during the weekdays if you wish to go to a special place or at the weekend. It may be possible for us to accompany you and show you around the best places to visit if you prefer it. All I need is someone willing to spend sometime with a spanish family speaking proper English.

I can provide resources should you want to improve your Spanish. If you want to improve your Spanish quickly, I may introduce you to some of my Cantabrian friends, so that you can practise your Spanish with them.
Hébergement
You’ll have a light-filled self-contained studio completely furnished, perfectly clean and tidy, a spotless bathroom and a stainless full-equipped kitchen that is next to our house.
Towels are provided, as is bed linen, and you may use the washing machine - this will enable you to travel light and avoid baggage costs. We like to be as ‘green’ as possible to conserve energy.
Our house is near the train station of Los Corrales de Buelna (0.8 km = 0.497 miles).
We’re omnivore (in case you’re a strict vegan!), although I love preparing dishes with vegetables. For the ones that do eat dairy products, I must say that Cantabria is famous for the variety of its tempting homemade cheese...
Regarding meals, we’ll offer you a healthy breakfast and a nutritious and fulfilling lunch and dinner.

We live in a small city in the Cantabria (northern Spain), that is called Los Corrales de Buelna. Apart from that, our town is famous for its festival, called “Guerras Cántabras”, please take a look on the internet and you’ll see that it’s a lot a fun.
We don’t live just along the coast, but we own a flat in San Vicente de la Barquera famous for its sandy beaches, so if you want and it isn't booked for other guests, we can spend some days there. It’s just about 46 km = 28.58 miles.
Apart from that, most coastal towns and villages are nonetheless easily accessible by public transportation, such as Suances (24 km = 14.91 miles), Comillas (38 km = 23.61 miles), etc.
Finally, our house is within walking distance of excellent transport links and the amenities of a small town. You can go to Santander – capital of Cantabria (40km = 24.85 miles) and also visit Santillana del Mar (19 km = 11.80 miles). The closest medium town is Torrelavega (11 km = 7.45 miles), which has around 60,000 inhabitants. It may be possible for us to accompany you and show you the best places to visit.
We have the best of both worlds: amazing beaches and wonderful mountains. Apart from that, there are some picturesque villages nearby, so you can easily go sightseeing in your days off.
You may borrow our spare bike, so that you can explore the well-kept and picturesque surroundings.
