Hey everyone!
I'm Kathrin, I'm 32 years old, and I'm excited to start my first Work Away experience! I am currently transitioning between university and a new job, and I hope to escape the long, cold, grey German winter. I am looking forward to taking a break from everyday life, which can sometimes limit my perspective. I would love to meet new people and learn about their lives and views on life. I have lived abroad a few times in my life, in Argentina, Spain and England, and I enjoy learning new languages and experiencing different ways of life.
Being in nature makes me happy, as does dancing and laughing with other people. Being part of a community and contributing to it brings me joy and energy, while respecting each other's need for privacy.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I am fluent in German, English and Spanish, and I have a good understanding of French. I would love to practise speaking it more!
As a trained philosopher and economist, I care deeply about politics and how our economic system works, as well as its implications for our society. Currently, I am most concerned about growing inequality and setbacks to women's rights. I am always curious to learn how others view the world.
I would love to help out in the garden, look after animals and learn new construction techniques. I also love cooking! I have plenty of experience in maintaining a garden and a household (washing, cooking and cleaning), and I have painted several walls and installed a lamp in my flat.
I enjoy learning new things and would say I am a quick learner.

I am travelling for two or three weeks, so staying for a week for me would be ideal. I would love to travel from the south of France to and around Barcelona!
