Hi! My name is John and I am currently studying Spanish and Cognitive Linguistics at the University of Colorado Boulder. Language and culture have always fascinated me, which is why I’m so excited to be part of the Workaway community. I’m especially eager to immerse myself in Spanish-speaking environments to improve my language skills and better understand the ways people communicate across cultures.

Outside of academics, I love being outdoors. Growing up in Colorado gave me a deep appreciation for nature and an active lifestyle. —I enjoy hiking, playing sports, reading, and just spending time in the fresh air. I’m always up for an adventure and love exploring new places, whether it's a quiet mountain trail or a bustling new city.

I’ve always lived a very active lifestyle, which has helped me develop strong physical abilities and a love for staying on the move. I’m comfortable with physical work and enjoy taking on tasks that keep me engaged and energized. I'm also a highly motivated and driven person with strong problem-solving skills, which I apply in both everyday situations and new challenges.

Professionally, I have experience in customer service, cleaning, dishwashing, and lifeguarding. These roles have taught me how to stay organized, work efficiently, and communicate effectively with others. I take pride in doing quality work and being reliable, whether I’m working independently or as part of a team.

One of my greatest strengths is being a quick learner. I adapt easily to new environments and am always eager to pick up new skills. I’m confident that I can contribute meaningfully and help out in whatever ways are needed.
