Description

Hello! I’m Emma, a 28-year-old primary school teacher currently living in London with an EU passport and a love for travel, good company, and the outdoors. I’ll be spending the summer exploring Europe and hoping to find some beautiful, down-to-earth experiences along the way.

I feel most at peace when I'm near the ocean, walking barefoot in nature, or sharing stories over a good meal and am just as content working independently as I am in a team. As a teacher, I'm naturally patient, kind, and love working with people of all ages and backgrounds. I’m passionate about meaningful connection, learning from others, and contributing positively wherever I go. I have experience in many fields including hospitality, concierge and volunteer crewing on catamarans and dive boats in the Caribbean. I’m a fast learner and always open to trying something new. I take direction well and enjoy learning from others — especially when it involves picking up new skills or ways of doing things.
*Ideally looking for volunteer work in a hostel/guesthouse/on a boat interacting with other people but open to any and all suggestions. I am available from late July.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m a quick and teachable learner who genuinely enjoys trying new things and picking up practical skills along the way. I take direction well, work hard, and I’m always happy to roll up my sleeves and help out where needed. I have experience in child minding and working with young people, which comes naturally with my background in teaching.

I’m also very comfortable in and around the water — swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, diving, and kayaking are all things I love and feel confident doing. Being outdoors and active is where I thrive. I have a creative side too and really enjoy DIY or hands-on projects. While I might need a bit of guidance with certain tasks, I’m eager to learn and always open to feedback.

Overall, I’m happy to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and contribute in any way I can to support hosts and their projects.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing guitar and songwriting. I love being creative in different ways, whether it’s painting, trying a DIY project, or getting into something hands-on. I also really enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes, especially when it means sharing a meal with others.

Spending time outdoors is important to me — I love going for hikes, long walks in nature, and just being by the ocean whenever I can. I find a lot of peace in reading, especially when I’m in a quiet spot outside. Anything that gets me moving, thinking, or creating tends to make me happy.
