  Hello Workawayers!
  
  We are looking for positive, reliable people who understand that this is a working animal home.
  Our animals depend on us every day, so helping here means genuinely contributing, taking responsibility and being ready to roll up your sleeves. This is not a holiday stay, but a meaningful experience for people who truly care about animals and enjoy practical work.
  We offer a healthy, vegan, smoke-free and alcohol-free environment in the French countryside.

  We love welcoming kind, positive and responsible people . However, following recent Workaway experiences, we have decided to make our expectations and boundaries very clear.
  
  Our animals need people they can count on.
  
  We are a forever home for rescued animals and a learning centre where we share valuable knowledge gained through many years of hands-on experience in animal care, behaviour, welfare and creating a peaceful, natural living environment.
  
  We are not a holiday resort, a dating centre or simply a place to stay for free while travelling.
  
  Animal-care experience is essential.
  
  We now only welcome volunteers who already have practical experience caring for animals and understand the responsibilities involved.
  
  We expect genuine interest in our individual animals, their personalities, histories, needs and daily routines. Volunteers must be willing to work physically, take initiative, complete tasks and gradually become independent in their responsibilities.
  
  Accommodation and meals
  
  Volunteers stay in their own caravan, with electricity and basic facilities.
  
  All meals are organised, prepared and eaten independently at the caravan. Volunteers are responsible for their own food and cooking arrangements.
  
  Our private house and kitchen are not shared facilities.
  
  Respect for our sanctuary
  
  The sanctuary has a daily routine and an evening closing time. Late-night returns are not permitted, and climbing over closed gates is strictly forbidden.
  
  Your free time is your own, but our animals' peace, our privacy and the sanctuary's boundaries must always be respected.
  
  Our rules are not open to negotiation.
  
  We are happy to answer genuine questions before a stay is confirmed. However, please do not apply if you find it difficult to accept established rules, repeatedly challenge boundaries or expect us to change our daily routines to suit your personal preferences.
  
  These arrangements exist for good reasons, based on the needs of our animals and the practical responsibilities of running a sanctuary.
  
  What we offer is valuable.
  
  You will have the opportunity to learn from years of practical experience, observe rescued animals in a peaceful environment and gain knowledge about responsible animal care and sanctuary life.

  We followed our dream and moved to France to create a peaceful Forever Home for rescued horses and other animals. Welcome to our sanctuary in the beautiful Brenne Regional Natural Park in central France.
  
  Our sanctuary is not a riding school or a commercial stable. Every animal here has been rescued and will stay with us for the rest of its life. Our mission is to give them the peaceful and loving home they deserve.
  
  If you love nature, enjoy being around horses and animals, and appreciate a quiet countryside lifestyle, you will feel at home here. Kindness, respect, friendship, and compassion are the values we share every day.
  
  We are looking for people who are independent, responsible, and enjoy practical, physical work. Experience with horses is always welcome, but a caring attitude, common sense, and a willingness to learn are even more important.
  
  There is always plenty to do at the sanctuary, including:
  
  Feeding and caring for the horses and other rescued animals.
  Cleaning paddocks and helping to keep the sanctuary clean and beautiful.
  Building wooden horse shelters and stables (our highest priority).
  Helping with permaculture projects.
  Chopping and sawing wood.
  Caring for fruit trees and creating natural grazing areas for the horses.
  
  This is a vegan, non-smoking sanctuary. Because the work is physically demanding, you should be in good physical condition and enjoy being active. Working with animals requires responsibility, patience, and a calm, positive attitude. We believe that animals feel our energy, so creating a peaceful and caring environment is very important to us.
  
  If you would like to make a real difference in the lives of rescued horses and other animals while enjoying the peace and beauty of the French countryside, we would love to welcome you.
