Hello!

I'm currently slow-travelling around the world whilst on a break from my previous career as an Aerospace Engineering Project Manager.

I'm British but grew up in Dubai, and have been fortunate enough to visit many countries. I am a self-driven, organised & resourceful individual who loves being active and exploring new places. I find fulfillment in hard work and pursuing my passions. Meeting people and learning about new cultures is one of my favorite things to do.

Sports are a huge part of my life. Specifically, volleyball, cricket, running, golf, and rugby. I take great pleasure in the physical and mental challenges that come with these activities.

Apart from sports, I also love to cook and experiment with new recipes. The process of trying new cuisines and creating something delicious brings me a sense of creativity and satisfaction. I have a natural curiosity and love for learning, and I am always seeking out new knowledge and experiences to broaden my horizons. I have experience cooking for a crew aboard a sailing yacht.

I am an Aerospace Engineer by degree, so have a good understanding of how things work. I also have several weeks of general DIY and gardening experience. I appreciate the value of doing things right first time.

We had a wonderful experience hosting Declan. He showed great initiative, especially in the kitchen, where he consistently prepared delicious meals for us - including catching fresh fish for dinner! Alongside his cooking, he was also a big help in the garden.

We highly recommend Declan to any host looking for a lovely, reliable, helpful guy!

The work varied depending on the shift but typically included general upkeep, changing beds, cleaning showers and toilets, check-ins/outs, taking payments and providing guests with information & recommendations. Declan did an excellent job at Pajaibal de las Sirenas. His workmanship was excellent, he is self-starter and very committed worker. Beside his every day task, his cooking skills are GREAT and everyone loved his food. He has a pleasant and friendly personality and was always on time with his work.

Tsering made me feel so welcome in Namche and even helped me with my travel arrangements leading up to and after the stay. Tsering provided plenty of food and accommodation and was very relaxed about working hours and days. The work was accurate to the description provided. Overall I would fully recommend Workawayers to stay with Tsering in Namche.
